I had a french grandmother. Is there any chance I can milk citizenship out of this?
>>2872940Not possible. But you may be able to milk your grandmother if you're her favorite grandson
>>2872940piggy backing off of this.Anyone else get their Greek Citizenship by descent? It's taking me forever. Greek Grandfather for me
>>2872940I tried to get this but for Poland. They asked to send my birth certificate (not a copy, but the actual certificate) and I just never did
>>2872940If your parents were registered yes I think so.Also for anyone interested you can become a leaf by descent fairly easily if any of your ancestors were born in Canada.
>>2872940Unless your mother/father got citizenship, I don't really think so. But maybe. If it were possible, I'm pretty sure you need to be near fluent with the language if you're white. Talk to your local consulate maybe? But chances are slim. Easiest way is to marry a european
>>2872951>>2872950No on the parents with french citizenship :(
how about you stay in your country and fix it instead
>>2872940These laws can be finicky, and sometimes aren't even applied according to the text of the law. Research their citizenship by descent and then look on reddit/facebook for people who were in your position. If there's no straightforward path you can find, there are plenty of attorneys who can do a free consultation with you.
>>2872940My Dad's family is all Volga Germans from Russia that came to the US in 1912. Apparently, Russia allows you to apply that far out. Hey if it is my right to claim a second passport, I don't care if it is Russia, I want it. Germany pretty much told me to fuck off.
