As a yuro wagie with nothing to do between jobs, is going to Miami for a week worth it? I was considering Barcelona but I went to Paris and Rome recently so walking and culture is something I've done a lot of. Outside of the UK, I haven't been on holiday anywhere for years.

I'd be going on my own as a totally rizzless chud that would talk to no one.

I would've chosen new york but the price is ridiculous.

Miami is boring as shit and just as expensive as anywhere else in America.
If you want a beach town go somewhere more unique like Batumi or Dubrovnik

Then no, obiously.
Those places are for people with friends and money.

Wrong on both counts. Miami is a low-inhib city where the casual visitor may see all kinds of loco behavior, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. Miami also has some ghetto-tier motels that you can get a cheap nightly rate at, especially if you are staying for a whole week. Public transit is straightforward and comprehensive. Keep in mind that Miami Beach is a completely separate city from Miami. Public bus service between the two cities is very limited.

No. The flight will be expensive. Considerably more now with the oil crisis. A shitty American hotel is very expensive. You will need to rent a car or pay out the ass for Uber.

Unless you're making the equivalent of $75k/yr, it's simply not worth it to visit the US. And even then, if you have that money, you could stretch your money in Asia and get a superior experience.

I liked Miami Beach. There are apparently hostels there too, but it is expensive, like others have said.

You haven't even been to Miami, so you can shut the fuck up with your ignorant generalizing. I have been a foot traveler in Miami for two weeks, after my sister dropped me off with my bags in the hood to continue her roadtrip with her psycho boyfriend (who flew into MIA to meet her, and who I didn't want to be around much less share a hotel room with).

Miami has great public transport. You don't need to walk any long distances to get around the city. There is an airport rail, metro rail, a free downtown trolley, a train line going up to Palm Beach, and a shuttle going to Key West. City buses connect all the neighborhoods around the metro area in between. Miami is full of poor brown and black people, so the public transport network is robust and well-patronized. America's cheapest hostels are found in Miami. Some very cheap hotel rooms as well, which cannot be booked online. The war in the Middle East and Russia/Ukraine only makes it more sensible to fly west to Miami instead of east to Asia.

Staying near the beach costs a lot more than staying in Miami proper. Bus daytrips from downtown to the beach are doable, but buses are limited and frequently fill to capacity.
