I am in a dillema at the moment. Right now I have two job promising job leads that have a good chance of landing me offers. One is a fully remote job, the other is a mining job that sends me to different camps internationally with a 2 week on 1 week off schedule. The remote job pays pretty well, but the latter pays more and is definitely harder to break in the future. I am in my late 20s and already have a good amount of savings for my age. I don't know what to do. For a /trv/ lifestyle I am not sure which would be better, the mining job will send me to South America, Canada, Australia, and Africa on rotations. However, I wouldn't mind just rotting in Europe with a remote job. Has anyone been able to travel on rotation jobs with 1 week off? What do you think is the best course of action?

Do you want my SSN too? The remote job is 28$ an hour, the mining is anywhere from 70 to 95k with paid accomodations. I don't see why the exact numbers are relevant.

remote for $28. no brainer. that puts you in the top 0.02% of all south america and africa, and upper half of canada and australia too. you can live in a shithole and pay 3k a year and pocket 50k. or you can live a normal life in any western country without any trouble.

Yeah but the mining job pays more and also there are rotations that could place me in South America as well. Its a 2 week on 1 off schedule, it sends me to different places across the world.

I was pretty clear with the nature of the jobs, one is remote and the other is a 2 on 1 off schedule. The remote pays 28 - 30 while the mining job is 75k+ and they pay for all my expenses esentially.
