I find that the most comfy experiences in my life were abroad. I have travelled a lot solo and with others, but I think the best has been going to Japan and Taiwan with my girlfriend a few times each at this point. I spend so much of my day longing for those endless nights of exploration through places foreign and not. It makes the world feel more whole, and real? I don't know why but I never felt that way in America, or in Western Europe, something uniquely expressed in Asia (mostly just Taiwan and Japan, and parts of Korea [China too I'd assume in some parts]), as well as some of the nicer Eastern European countries. Just, a more real life. As if it were whole. I travel for that feeling, and the endless promise of something new. Something to sate my boredom.Why do you travel /trv/ler?

Traveling for any other reason is incredibly pretentious. Yes, being away from home, being whoever you want, meeting people at hostels, going out for nightlife, these are all fun too, but they're just a bonus to the action of travel itself, not the destination. If a place doesn't have cool unique things to do (that I can't also do just about anywhere else), then I don't care to travel there.
