I find that the most comfy experiences in my life were abroad. I have travelled a lot solo and with others, but I think the best has been going to Japan and Taiwan with my girlfriend a few times each at this point. I spend so much of my day longing for those endless nights of exploration through places foreign and not. It makes the world feel more whole, and real? I don't know why but I never felt that way in America, or in Western Europe, something uniquely expressed in Asia (mostly just Taiwan and Japan, and parts of Korea [China too I'd assume in some parts]), as well as some of the nicer Eastern European countries. Just, a more real life. As if it were whole. I travel for that feeling, and the endless promise of something new. Something to sate my boredom. Why do you travel /trv/ler?
>>2876647I think you are just a weeaboo.I travel because I enjoy seeing new places and getting out of my boring routine.
>>2876656I find the routine to be more comfy in other places. I wouldn't say I am a weeb, I just don't think that living how 99.9% of people live in America and Western Europe is good for the soul. I just think Japan and Taiwan are both uniquely nice, something I imagine Europe of the past was closer to than it is today.
>with my girlfriend>btw I am heterosexual
>>2876669Why do you spam this in every thread that mentions women? What, you expect them to say "partner" or some gay shit?STFU fag
>>2876647>Why do you travel? To see cool tourist attractions. That's it. This is literally the most important and fundamental aspect in deciding where I go. Traveling for any other reason is incredibly pretentious. Yes, being away from home, being whoever you want, meeting people at hostels, going out for nightlife, these are all fun too, but they're just a bonus to the action of travel itself, not the destination. If a place doesn't have cool unique things to do (that I can't also do just about anywhere else), then I don't care to travel there.
>>2876647It's a change of scenery. Novel experiences make time go by slower. I work with a boomer who has only gone on 3 vacations in his life and he's like 60 years old. The thought of that makes me want to kms

>>2876732this women would be a stressful wife
>>2876647Cost of living. With travel I can work for a few months and live comfortably for a few years minimum.
I was burnt out from my last job and spent a couple thousand going to Japan desperately trying to fill the void inside. The void remains
>>2876647I like seeing cute skinny women on a daily basis compared to my fat ass country and its fat ass women
>>2876775>fat ass womenw-where? asking for a friend...
>>2876647I can't get a gf so I might as well do something with my life other than sit in my apartment all day.
>>2876878but do what? When I imagine myself /trv/aveling I can just picture myself rotting in my room eating slop. I don't go to bars, I've seen enough museums, I could hike but then why spend hundrends when I have plenty of nature around that I never visited
>>2876883I was just in Vegas a few months ago. It was fun just being outside seeing the sights and being somewhere different for a week.
>>2876883That's why you don't get a room that is overly comfortable. A spartan room spurs you to wake up early and go out exploring.
>>2876647I live in one of the flattest places on earth, so any geologic variety, especially mountains, blows my little mind. Couldn't care less about anything else.
>>2876647i travel for instagram likes
>>2876883I'm not boring like you
