is travelling to Los Angeles from australia worth it if I’d mostly be doing it just to ride the A380? actually exploring LA is secondary. I just wanna experience riding the A380 from australia to the US
LA is my second least favorite city on the west coast. Only Portland Oregon is worse. Go to Japan.
>>2877056https://www.wheredoesthea380fly.com/You can go to Singapore as well anon. Cheaper flight, no need to pay for US electronic visa stuff, changi airport is far easier to get in and out of. Plus you have a choice of two airlines.
>>2877056I don't know what city you are from so I'm just going to pick Sydney. Take the Qantas A380 from Sydney to Los Angeles. Then take the Lufthansa A380 from LA to Munich. From Munich take a flight on a narrow body to London Heathrow, it's about a 2 hour flight. From London take the British Airways A380 to Singapore. Then from Singapore take the Singapore Airlines A380 back to Sydney. This way you fly around the world and experience the A380 long haul with 4 different airlines. If you want to fly the A380 on a shorter route keep in mind that Emirates also have 5th freedom flights with the A380 between Sydney and Christchurch, this is a 3 hour flight. Emirates also have 5th freedom flights with the A380 between Bangkok and Hong Kong. An alternative route around Asia could be Sydney to Singapore with Singapore Airlines A380 then hop across to BKK on a regular flight. Then Bangkok to Hong Kong on the Emirates A380. From Hong Kong take a regular flight up to Tokyo. Then from Tokyo Narita to Seoul take the Korean Air A380, this is only a short 2.5 hour flight and is the shortest flight with an A380. From Seoul take the Asiana A380 back to Bangkok. Then fly from BKK to Singapore on a regular flight and take the Qantas A380 back to Sydney. With this trip you will experience the A380 with 5 airlines but the routes are much shorter.
why do you wanna fly with this planeis this some kind of autism?
>>2877131Yeah
>>2877131There are people who are really into ships, trains, planes, trucks, and so on. Naturally they have their favorites and in the case of aviation they can actually fly on some of them so they'll plan trips accordingly
I'm still miffed I missed out on the opportunity to ride an A340-600. Didn't even have to go out of the way for it, it was the best itinerary available, but I was traveling with someone disabled and they didn't feel comfortable with the downstairs bathrooms. Desperately hoping Lufthansa delays their retirement again and I can grab one for my trip to Spain in August.
>>2877216How come? The A340 is pretty shit compared to all the other widebodies. I guess you just want it for completion's sake. The planes are old and outdated.
>>2877443The 340 is the only aircraft I know of that has downstairs lavatories. The interior is the airline's responsibility to update, but at their age it's questionable if they'd get one.
