Look up 奇游记 on youtube or billibilli if you are interested in China. He is a chinktuber who exclusively does domestic travel with a little bit of Japan mixed in. Most of his vids have dual chinese and english subs. His vids helped me a lot when I was in China, the way he does stuff and interacts with people is basically a tutorial and how to be a Real Traveler (tm) in China

I like his channel, but stopped watching after accidentally reading the fake subtitles third time. I literally tried to create a mpv player script to block the subtitles with black rectangle but then it was weird to not be able to understand anything at all. Yes, it was funny first time when subtitles said that somebody rapes someone haha, but after 20 videos, it was getting old to avoid reading subtitles, then third time accidentaly reading because I forgot.

Roca News is mostly U.S., but they visit lots of interesting towns and cities that get missed.
Bald and Bankrupt is entertaining in a similar way, he hits a lot of Eastern Bloc and un-glamorous destinations.
Britannica does the dark tourism thing without too much edge. Visits dangerous countries.
Matt and Julia are a little more PC but visit some obscure and dangerous spots.

VAGA VAGABOND - russian chud, funny accent. videos are decent if a bit dull sometimes
Vagrant Holiday - if i could recommend a travel channel to anyone it'd be this one. funny as fuck, the guy sleeps rough and gets into scrapes, it's genuinely riveting

The trick is to find an equivalent local channel for whatever place you're thinking of travelling to rather than "travel vlogger" channels that just pump out superficial content on a thousand places.
