>>2879713From what I have noticed, most Canadians seem to have this need to want to prove their worth to any American, like they instantly assume any American they meet is looking down on then and they are punching back against the assumptions they made up in their heads. So they often come off as weirdly arrogant and angry since they have that small man attitude, but it's entirely on themselves. Most Americans never consider them or even think about them. They assume Americans are looking down on them and judging them at all times. But overall they view themselves as small town nobodies and assume any American they cross paths is some arrogant asshole big shot rich guy that is going to treat them like shit. What this really means is that there are few nature people who want to go to the Canadian wilderness to hunt and fish. Or it has become harder to do that. >>2879538Historically tourists went to Canada for the nature and outdoors. The whole Sportsman Paradise aspect of the country is what attracted people. But in the last 10 or so years, since about 2015, it has been getting more and more trashy. It's not great to go to some big forest in Ontario or British Columbia is there is scattered garbage everywhere. It was noticed around 2019 by a lot of people and it has been getting significantly worse since about 2022 or so. Now a lot of people I know generally don't want to go to any Canadian lakes at all since the region around it is guaranteed to be covered in dumped garbage everywhere. Places are just fucking disgusting now, especially in the Ottawa region. A place that was known for scenic camp sites. I don't know what in the fuck happened but it seems Canada near completely dropped any element of a no dumping law, nor is there any will to enforce one.
