Convince me to not liquidate all my assets and expat to Thailand?
>>
>>2882035
It's 40 years too late
>>
>>2882036
Why or how so?
>>
>>2882035
How much in assets?
>>
>>2882039
How much does one need to pull it off and be financially free there
>>
Because chances are the assets you have aren't enough unless you have over something like +1.5M to get in cash if at 30 and willing to live a strictish lifestyle.

It's easy to fall, hard to get back up
>>
>>2882037
You missed the boat. It's yesterday's news
>>2882041
>>2882035
Why do you need to liquidate everything anyway? you only need a few thousand in your checking account and the rest can be kept in a brokerage account
>>
>>2882035
Thailand's economy is not very healthy

If OP is moving liquidating is ideal as anything else would be simply paying for storage without any returns. His best bet if he is moving and long term expat is liquidate everything, maybe put some of that into a high yeilds savings and replace it if you need. The interest is what he needs to maximize which means he needs the most amount of cash in his bank.

Do boomers consider the random junk in their house to be assets?

Do retards not understand physical equity?

OP said sell his assets, that can be shit like pokemon cards, gaming PC, collectables, TV, sofa, etc; as well as other things. All that shit adds up and unless OP wants to store it, then he's best-off selling it. If OP has somethings he can sell for say 10,000, then at 3.75% APY in a basic high end savings account that's $375/yr, depending where he chooses in TH that could be a month's rent and utilities. There is no real point in selling off virtual assets unless OP is dead broke and only a millionaire because his crypto/portfolio says so right now. Generally, things that accrue interest are things you don't want to liquidate unless you know for sure that moving at equity position is favorable to something else.

>>
>>2882082
This, unless you're absolutely loaded and willing for fork over the cash to them to buy land and trust them that much or get a work visa and grunge through to proper land ownership. They will default want to see america and take them there.
>>
>>2882053
That's a good thing. I hope it gets worse so the normies fuck off and prices go down.
>>
>>2882116
>price go down
>normies leave
nigga why do you think Bali is popular or any SEA place is? Because when the Euro or USD or AUD is big, means more tourism
>>
>>2882068
No one's buying a sofa. Are you retarded? Assets are stocks, a house, maybe even a car if we're being generous. And lol at putting your money in a savings account
>>
>>2882116
Plenty of people go there specifically because prices are cheap. They just live there. There's nothing else "Thai" about why they're there. They might blog on Reddit about their friendly service workers and tasty food.
War refugees, social media vermin, white women, american troons, etc
