Tell me about eco tourism in Costa Rica, what are the national parks like? What is the pricing like? How do you get around the country?
>>2883202I went for 2 weeks. I didnt know at the time how rare a clean country was. It has as much litter as Canada. Lots of women with plastic surgery, and everyone everywhere trying to sell you drugs. No nickname pedalers though, just drugs.Overall I was very impressed with the country.
>>2883203>everyone everywhere trying to sell you drugsSounds awesome
>>2883204Only time I felt unsafe some gangsters in gold chains out numbered us, asked if we wanted some coke, we declined, and than they changed the subject to some cool national forests we should see, wished us well, and walked away.
>>2883205Kek, maybe the government pays gangsters to help tourists on the side.
>>2883202>What is the pricing like? You'll think it's cheap if you're from NYC or California, otherwise lol>How do you get around the country?Same way you would in Africa
I'm trying to buy some lakefront property on Lake Arenal. As of right now that's where I'll retire. Taxes and visas are very expat friendly. I've actually never been. But sometime soon I'm gonna head down and scope things out.
>>2883202rent an SUV. I did this with a group of friends. It is not cheap but worth it for getting around. we took turns driving and it avoided all the tourist bus BS. The entry fees everywhere are pretty bad. The food was mediocre, but the cold beers and the AirBnB places with hammocks and covered porches to play cards at night were pretty awesome. The parks are also insanely beautiful but a tad underwhelming if you have spent any time on the west coast.
