>>
>>2888479

worst: Oklahoma- all of the most retarded parts of Texas while having the most boring landscape

F: Florida, Rhode Island
D: New York
A: Oregon, Washington

didnt live in any of the rest
>>
Only thing worth visiting in the USA is nature, every city is a shithole.
>>
>>2888479
S: Western Washington, Wisconsin, Massachusetts
A: Chicago, NY (upstate inclusive), Alaska
B: Rest of northeast
C: rest of country north of mason-dixon, east of mississippi (MN inclusive)
D: Iowa, Hawaii
E: Some parts of the south (cool culture) that aren't too fucking hot all the time. Charlotte NC is decent.
F: Everywhere else
Lots of shitholes in America
>>
I only rated states I have personally visited.

Florida is F-tier? I thought it was pretty cool with the warm beaches

Is Florida and Texas really that bad? Was planning to visit both this year. Haven't been to either in a decade

Might be biased but really loved San Diego in CA and Boulder in CO. Haven't been to much else in the states though.

Florida has a very narrow appeal, but if you fit it you'll love it. I don't care for theme parks and I'm tired of beaches because I used to live on one. If you want to go to a beach destination with a party vibe, you'll love south Florida. But the cities are dirty, half of Florida are geriatric boomers in your way, it's very expensive even for the US, and so on. I went on a bachelor party in Miami and enjoyed myself - that's about the extent of why I would go to Florida. You may enjoy it.

Texas just fucking sucks. The Dallas-San Antonio-Houston triangle is just never-ending suburban sprawl. You can't do anything without getting on a highway. There's nothing particularly standout in the area except food (and there are plenty of places with amazing food). Outside of that triangle, it's sparsely populated with literal hours of driving in the middle of nowhere to nothing. I would seriously not even recommend going to Texas unless you're doing some grand roadtrip.

Yeah, was only considering south Florida.

As for Texas, was planning on going to Austin for the Austin City Limits Music Festival in Oct this year and just exploring around. I wouldn't check any other city out though

Depends what you're into and your budget. For camping and hiking, Utah is the best state in the US. The national parks and state parks in Utah are amazing. There's endless amazing outdoor stuff to do. You can camp for free on any BLM land. It's super cheap to do Utah on a budget if you camp. The ski resorts in Utah are also amazing, but they're very expensive. Crime is really low. It's almost all white people. But, the food in Utah sucks. The cities and towns are boring. There is zero nightlife. And you have to have a car to do it.

Most of the western US is amazing for hiking. California has the best weather and the most variety of things to do. But it's unaffordable to live there unless you make $150K+.

The worst states are in the middle of the US. Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Nebraska, North Dakota and Illinois are all terrible. There's nothing redeeming at all about living in a place like Oklahoma.

In what way?
Living? Tourism? Vibes?
Your list does not fit the first 2 at all so it must just be vibes

>Florida has a very narrow appeal
Considering its one of the most visited states, clearly not.

The beaches in Clearwater and Miami are nice and it's good to visit as a tourist, but actually living there is a pain in the ass. Trashy retarded people. Driving to get everywhere. Drugs, violence. Not worth

My tier list of states I've visited, purely from a tourist's perspective.

Pennsylvania, California, and Massachusetts have a perfect mix of history, nature, interesting cities, and overall things to do. You can go all over and have a good time.
People make fun of Florida, but there's no doubt Orlando is a good family trip at least once in your life, and Miami has its charm too. I didn't explore Colorado enough, but the mountains alone are incredible. Las Vegas is honestly pretty cool on its own, but valley of fire next to it really brings Nevada up for me.
Maryland's got comfy marine vibes and food, some history too. Virginia has A LOT of history, but not as interesting outside of that. I wanted to put NY lower, but I can't deny NYC is at least a little fascinating. Still, the rest of the state is a boring shithole.
Arizona has the Grand Canyon, some Indian reservations, cool nature, rest is boring though. Delaware is honestly underrated, it has some cool stuff around Wilmington, but not enough. Connecticut and Rhode Island are similar, just Massachusetts leftovers. They are nice though. VT and NH are pretty, some of the prettiest actually, but just not enough to do to be the best.
NJ is a boring shithole full stop. Atlantic City and the shore in general is kinda cool if you live nearby, but not worth going out of your way for. SC I need to explore more, but from what I was it's just ok idk.

Sedona and southern AZ (Mt. Lemmon, Tucson, Tombstone and Bisbee) is pretty cool though for day trips.
