RIP Bozo Edition>Last Thread: >>2897876>What is this thread? Why are there two generals?/rcg/ was initially created as a way for the roller coaster enthusiasts on here to discuss all things roller coasters and theme parks. While roller coasters are the main focus of these threads (and the title of the general) there is also discussion on other theme parks, their rides, as well as the parks themselves and trip planning too. That's where /tpg/ comes in.>Can I talk about Disney/Universal parks in this thread?Absolutely! Disney/Universal discussion of all sorts including rides/resorts/dining/trip planning is OK.General Rules:1. Talk about Theme Parks and/or Rollercoasters.2. Im heading to Cedar Point for a solo one day trip in the middle of a road trip. Since ill only have one day, is it worth it to stay at the Breakers for early entry? I want to ride everything
My home park is finally getting a much-needed kids area revamp actually befitting Yukon Territory. I can only hope they bring Yankee Harbor back someday.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAcOtElXk_wLost Island is getting the first Wild Moose as a family shuttle coaster interacting with the path and log flume.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTKsR0G9AAY
Lion King boat ride apparently uses a propulsion system instead of currents to move the boats. My guess would be LIMs of some kind as localised water jets powerful enough to move the boats would result in a current anyway (Universal patented a rudder style system that controls speed in a current). The test track had some suspicious stuff in it that could be LIMsAside from fixing log jams with should mean that it can slow/stop the boats for story scenes and time them so they get to a scene at the start of a loop. Wonder if it could also mean you get multiple boats in a scene to make them longer without killing capacity.
>>2904114Just closed all 'winter' for maintenance, water parks have LOTS of things that need a bunch of upkeep and Volcano Bay has barely had any closing time since 2020 for staff to deal with anything.

>>2904217If it’s once in a lifetime definitely get it. No need to ride “everything” though. They only has 5 exceptional rides that you can’t find elsewhere - Steel Vengeance, Siren’s Curse, Millennium Force, Top Thrill 2 and Maverick. The rest consist of not very interesting family coasters, boiler plate B&Ms, and two full size arrows (Magnum sucks but some people love it, plus it’s historically significant as the first hyper). The train also has some nice scenes going from north to the south. I’d focus on these unless you’re collecting credits or something.

As much of a faggot as poseidon is, I am very impressed that he either doesn’t have a patreon or doesn’t mention it much. I also don’t remember there being an ad break on his video despite getting many views quickly. This is extra noble considering how apparently poor he is, complaining about how much his one day Dallas trip cost him. Noble or retarded.
>>2904258The only person who would talk about him as much as you do is either 1) his lover or 2) him.

>>2904273It really doesn’t. Everyone who “takes” the bait is a ritualposter. The ritualposters’ bait is what actually works, since it’s irresistible to tell them why the original poster is not required to find updates for any non-Disney/Universal park.
>>2904266Any amount is too much. The only approved jewtoobers are:1. /our/guy2. /our/girl3. Expedition Theme Park Maybe that coaster couple that are in a different fucking park just about every single day. You know the one, with the weird looking dude and the blonde wife
>>2904278>Maybe that coaster couple that are in a different fucking park just about every single day. You know the one, with the weird looking dude and the blonde wifeHow TF did I automatically know you were talking about coasterstudios. They’ve been around forever. >>2904320Where's the bloody landscaping?
It is with great displeasure I report to you that the chicken tendies at the Cabana Bay hotel, that were great two years ago and two years before that, are now completely different, and among the worst tendies I've ever had. They were soft and seemed like something you'd make in an oven and never buy again. The fries are also worse now, but still good because it's hard to mess up fries. They messed up the tendies though.
>>2904320They said there would also be physical sets, but I'll give you that the picture alone doesnt show that off very well. It's at least cool to see Dr Facilier front and center, I guess they know they fucked up by not including him in Tiana's Bayou Adventure.
>>2904093>Villains Land 2028no way in HELL this is happening. More like 2031 with Piston Peak in 2029.Also you havent mentioned there is a Garmendale Engineering ride for Lost Continent. What looks like an interactive omnimover. There are permits submitted for IOA.
anyone else riden Hyperia at Thorpe Park recently? the 2 year old coaster is pretty much unrideable on most rows. That Mack rattle is beyond an inconvenience now. Best first drop in the world not joking, the rest of the ride is short and feels like being in a washing machine
>>2904383>Mack rattleThey deserve more shit for this.
>>2904374/our/girl needs to get married, otherwise people will think her very weird and stop trusting her >t. K never trusted her already bc she’s far too old and I know the whole thing is a gimmick TickTock. You can’t fool these autists forever

>>2904471I don't like the constant shilling and simping but it is definitely on-topic.>>2904470Are there any theme parks on the worst coast (west coast) that have real trees and real animals? There's a kiddie park near where I am (Gilroy Gardens) but that's the only thing that comes to mind.

>>2904476Does she also aim for the wholesome shtick?
>>2904477Kind of neutral I think. And she just does it as a hobby really.
>>2904478What happens to these women after 35 when they “start” to get too old to be at theme parks all day without kids?
>>2904479I think you meant to write 25 there. If they're rich, they marry someone in their social circle who will give them 2.5 kids and multiple full-time nannies at a 1:1 ratio, thus allowing them to bring the children to the theme park, actually enjoy the theme park with their own children, and continue their one true love of getting likes and upvotes on social media.

>>2904495I don't wanna get into purity spirals on a roller coaster thread but my homeschooling parents would be incredibly ashamed if any of their daughters turned out like Katie. Social media is a sin, to say nothing of wearing short shorts. Actual homeschooled evangelical girls end up either as stay-at-home daughters or young wives/mothers. There is no place for an influencer in the traditional scheme, least of all a social media influencer.
>>2904470Busch’s trees are boring and I don’t care about animals. Tampa I mean. Williamsburg on the other hand is really pretty, though I still don’t care about their animals.

The Six Flags app just stopped working. Won’t do anything without the update, which doesn’t exist.

>>2904531I enjoy it when they do tricks but I don’t give a fuck about seeing them just lying there or walking around. It’s honestly kind of self-congratulatory to enjoy that actually. You can see them doing far more interesting shit on nature shows, but that’s not as good to you because you aren’t there in person. It’s not about the animals, it’s about you.
>>2904534If she was 30 she would have had forehead lines for at least the last 5 years.

>>2904535You’re so full of shit dude. Honestly.
