Man, Crossed really has some people fuming. If you don't like it, that's fine. But some of us do and it has nothing to with being "le hecking edgy." I really like most of the stories told and I appreciate that there are virtually no happy endings and if there are, they're basically phyrric victories. It can be a very bleak, hopeless read. It's better than shit always magically working out at the end. You don't read it to feel good about the power of hope and the indomitable human spirit or some uplifting shit like that. You just read it to have a bit of fun watching people struggle against the tide and fail, maybe have a few laughs here and there at the more absurd stuff and that's it.
