it really had no business being as good as it was for how amateur and clearly from youtube a lot of the directing and elementary scares were. He just struck gold with Inde, having a good cinematographer and the luxury of putting just enough wrinkles on an elegant premise to invite endless argument and interpretation. I just don't know how well these qualities will translate to a Texas Chainsaw reboot. Very keen to see his next film with Bryce Dallas Howard and Aaron Paul which he wrote and also acts in.

so, Michael Johnston who plays Bear actually proposed throwing up the pills on set which Curry jumped on and shot immediately and stuck with.it feels clever at first but the more I think about it the more I don't like it. It does resonate with his tragic flaw but it also really forecloses and cements what careful balance and trajectory I think the story had been building with his character of finally coming to accept what's happened and do right.
