That's literally it.For the entire series they've teased the show's equivalent of The Long Night, the "Scorched Earf" and in the end, they didn't have the gonads (or the cash, presumably) to do it either via Butcher OR Homelander. The two leads just go out on a whimper, rushed into a grave faster (and gayer) than Terror.Meanwhile all of the supporting cast were pretty much unnecessary and uninteresting by this point. Nobody likes Ryan. Nobody likes Kimiko. Nobody likes Boglight. Nobody cares about The Deep. Nobody fucking cares about Frenchie except internet activists who hate the actor because he was conscripted into service he regretted and suffered from mentally even before his fame, which is sort of ironic because these same retards will praise redemption arcs for mass murderers acting individually.It was just fucking boring, and the show already had an issue with being repetitive and predictable, so with a finale as tame and ultimately pointless (as Butcher pointed out) it just leaves you feeling empty, left with nothing but to focus on the inconsistencies of logic and logistics, e.g. Homelander jobbing, Starlight vs. The Deep, etc...2/10, should've taken a hiatus. Finished Gen V S3, do a couple of seasons of Vought Rising, whatever, then come back in a few years with the right mindset and hopefully the funding to really go out with a bang.
