I watched it today and went in expecting it to be just "ok" and actually had a really good time. Maybe it was just an extra long show episode, but it was a good episode. Personally I'd rather see more standalone fun adventures than trying to force everything into some longer big epic storyline or tie in directly to either trilogy, and most times when they try to do that the results are terrible (Solo, and the Boba Fett and Obi Wan shows sucked ass). Had good action scenes, likeable characters, great musical score, and some decent comedic bits. Also was way better than the little I watched of season 3 (I think I dropped it after 2 eps and never went back) and you can pretty much ignore that season entirely other than "somehow...grogu returned". It did feel like they put an obligatory no-helmet scene just to prove the "star" was physically on set at least once though and that was kinda funny. Mando's coolness factor completely evaporates when Pascal's face is visible, it just doesn't feel like the same guy at all (because it isn't).
