It went downhill after Jyn Erso went from "I don't care about the Empire, you can actually live a pretty decent life with a smuggling gig as long as you keep your head down" to getting radicalized and becoming a fervent rebel in the span of 5 minutes. I get she was mad that they killed her father but it felt like it was a solid 20 minutes of character development missing from the cut. Suddenly she's giving speeches about crushing the opressors when two scenes before she was totally apathetic. The pacing felt off in many other scenes like a first draft quickly mashed together. No joke I think this movie was released in an unfinished state.
