Did you actually like it or just pretend to because of the hype??
I actually like it
>>220743852It's a good film but not the kind you want to watch over again.
Megalopolis is better.
I like it but I never understood how anyone can say Part 2 is better because I do not think the young Vito scenes are all that interesting and I’m not a DeNiro hater they’re just not as compelling as all the other shit going on
>>220743852>Italians jacking off their own cultureIt insists upon itself.
It's genuinely a great film.
>>220743852Just marathoned both movie (I don't acknowledge the third one) and I do think I appreciate it more now then I was years ago.
>>220743852I really like all of the movie yeah, even the third one is pretty good. They hold up as mob movies.
>>220743852It's one of the best films of the 1970s for sure
It genuinely holds up over the years
>>220743852Still haven't seen either of them
Its ok i guess, but the pacing sucks, it could could use a trim.
>>220743852had seen bits and pieces of 1 and 2 over the years ever since I was young and it's been parodied so much that I felt that I didn't need to sit and watch the whole thing. just did recently and both are absolute kino. time flies when you're watching them.
>>220743921IQ 190 opinion
>>220743933Agree with this. Vito stuff has its moments but overall it kind of feels like filler and a distraction from the main story.
gf1 and gf2 make every other movie in existence look like made by childgf1 > gf2 btwi found out world truly low iq that someone can think goodfellas is better
if i had a complaint, michael goes from knowing little to nothing about the family business to being the head mafia guy in a very short amount of time
>>220743852I unironically love the Godfather. No It's not to be pretentious, it's just entertaining as fuck. It gets better when you rewatch it because knowing what happens adds a whole new layer of context to all the characters actions. The scenes in Fredo in the Godfather 2 are better when you already know that he's the one who betrayed Michael.
>>220743852>Did you actually like it or just pretend to because of the hype??i watched a lot of movies including a lot of mafia related ones but never saw the godfather until recently, i dont even like mafia movies but the godfather is to the genre what the matrix 1 is to every movie that copied anything after it. godfather 1 is one of the best movies of all time, top 10-15 easily, sequels follow it alright although they could have been bigger.
>>220743852I haven't seen it because I have next door to ZERO interest in anything relating to the mafiaI'm sure it's an amazing film but I really don't care for the premise
