you will now remember Oppenheimer (2023)
>>
Another good Nolan film that contrarians act like a shit
>>
>>220754653
It wasn't really his MO I'd rather see him make a Bond movie or something. The actual nuke scenes were cool but the weird psychology stuff with invisible naked women was stupid. Other movies have done the Manhattan project better in 90s movies and it wasn't so whiny.
>>
>>220754653
Haven't seen this one, but Tenet was all kinds of shite.

Nolan is a hack. Case in point: blackwashing Helen of Troy.

Truman was right about this faggot.

Was Truman also right about MacArthur?

I'VE
DONE
>>
>>220754593
Honestly the biggest problem I ended up having was the Trinity test not being nuke-y enough. They fucked around with conventional pyrotechnics for the effect and it DID NOT work. Nolan needs to pull his head out of his ass when it comes to his aversion to the use of CGI. It fucked the scale of Dunkirk too.
>>
I remember seeing the explosion in theaters and was completely underwhelmed. Especially after everyone jerked off the practical element.

>thats it?
>>
Me own bomb... Killed millions?
>>
>>220754593
It felt pointless. Sorry.

what do you think was good about it?
90% of the movie dialogues was:
>im not a communist
or maybe you liked the nuclear explosion scene?
>it was actually a bucket of gasoline being set on fire with a match, thats why it looked so fucking cheap and bad
damn.

was there even 1 GOOD aspect of oppeheimer?

dunkirk felt like watching an SNL sketch.
>5 guys on the beach
>1 civilian boat
>a few scenes with 1 spitfire
nolan movies look and sound like they had a budget of 3,50$.
>>
>build up and construction of the bomb was interesting
>it''s tested like halfway through the movie
>rest of the movie is some boring as fuck accusations of Oppenheimer being communist
>you don't even get to see the bomb drop on japan
Shit was boring as fuck and didn't deserve all the accolades it got, even the acting was pretty average. The story is interesting to read about, but it just didn't work as an engaging movie.
>>
yeah it's a good movie
>>
>>220754593
>Sloppenheimer (2023)

The movie... sucked?
>>
>>220759789
ive seen people walk out of the movie halfway through, i barely managed to finish it myself.
>>
>>220759789
>>you don't even get to see the bomb drop on japan
nobody gives a shit who built the bomb and the movie is about Oppenheimer. It wasn't about the dropping of the bomb. Stop being a fucking retard.
>>
his last three have been shit
hasn't made a good movie since 2014
his casting decisions have been awful for years
>harry styles
>that black dude leading tenet
>florence pugh for no reason whatsoever in oppie
>all of the odyssey
>>
>>220759837
his story is boring as fuck and he's really not that interesting as a person
imitation game did the falsely persecuted thing a lot better
>>
>>220759852
Just wait for the Odyssey, surely he will redeem himself
>>
>>220759852
>I am become death, destroyer of worlds
>as he nuts inside pugh
What did Nolan mean by this?
>>
>>220759837
nobody gives a shit about oppenheimer and his boring ass story.
the whole damn movie couldve been 30 minutes long if you only include the actually interesting science stuff and drop the "im not a communist" waste of time, which was 80% of the entire movie.

cant wait not to pay for odyssey.
say no to jew subversion of european culture.

I hated it, it's one of those movies I can comfortably say I'll never ever watch again.
>how can we convey what this character is thinking about

dolan is lucky it was such a weak year for films
>nominated for best costumes
>for err the generic suits everyone wore
fucking kek

well, it was pretty boring but it’s hard not to rate highly when the most significant filmmaker of our time makes the first serious—and three-hour-long—film about one of the most influential events of the 20th century
>>
>>220760027
>the most significant filmmaker
and who would that be?

what a fucking hack. I hate this movie now
>>
>>220760057
debatable, but agreeable.
>>
>>220754653
The film is shit.
They couldn't even integrate the score properly. 99% of the time there's tense music for no reason.

Nolan is a hack with a 3$ budget.
>>
>>220760060
The way he wanks over IMAX you'd think he'd blow everyone's minds like they were sat right next to the bomb going off, but nah it was disappointing Tbh

come on I honestly never liked nolan but chatgpt would say he's been the biggest film director
>>
I like this fictional story
>>
>>220760261
>but chatgpt would say he's been the biggest film director
i doubt it.
>>
The only reason this movie seemed good was because literally every other movie that came out that year was pure fucking garbage. It was a 6/10 at best
>>
>>220760093
I watched it twice and both times during the silent bomb scene someone farted and ruined the immersion
>>
>>220759789
Didn't they show the bombing in some anime and some shitty X-Men movie?
>>
Why do you guys watch this schlopp?
You have no restraint?
>>
>>220762020
it was for free : (
>>
>>220754653
It was like Avatar in that it made a big splash at release (because of the Barbenheimer psyop) and then after people see it they have nothing to say about it. I still haven't watched it because why.
>>
>>220754593
I think it honestly might be my favorite nolan film

I don’t. I remember seas of threads mocking the concept.
