>dude Norm is the GOAT of stand up comedy. What, no, I haven't actually seen his stand up, only his guest appearances on conan and funny clips from his show, haha "chairman of the bored" am I right
>>
I watched that time he made the old jewish hags on the View seethe

That was all I need to know that Norm was good people
>>
>>220758339
Norm and Brian Wilson are the only two celebrity deaths that had any sort of personal effect on me. Both arguably the greatest geniuses of their respective crafts ever
>>
ALL THE STARS ARE HERE
>>
Did uncs have a different sense of humor back in the 90s? Norm wasn't funny. Neither was Seinfeld or Carson or Sinbad or any other boomer comedian.
>>
>>220758339
>What, no, I haven't actually seen his stand up
he did two specials late in his career and other than that shorter tv spots
>>
>>220758427
>but this nig that says the monkeyspeak? He is hilarious unc

We were smarter and more well read. I can see that being a problem in today's society.
>>
>>220758339
I saw him live once.

that's showcase length, special is more like an hour
might as well post a jfl
>>
>>220758598
Its literally hbo special
>>
>>220758339
Painfully unfunny
>>
>>220758427
You really got them seething zoomie, I kneel
>>
>>220758427
Norm did comedy for comedians. You have to be funny in order to understand why he was funny. It's not your fault, you just don't have it.
>>
>>220758622
they called it that, but it was just hbo version of mtv half hour comedy hour
a real hbo special back then would be a one hour carlin
>>
>>220758339
his actual standup is meh but his live show was brilliant, especially the first season. it's worth watching the full episodes. his book is also great.
>>
>>220758339
Yall remember when he went on that liberal radio show and called out black people for being violent?
>>
>>220758802
What's funny about that?
>>
>>220758813
What isn't funny about it?
>>
>>220758339
who are you talking to, schizo
>>
>>220758427
This list went from sinbad to sinworse
>>
I feel like a bandwagoner for liking Norm so much from not thinking he was funny until after he died. Maybe it was that tragedy.
>>
>>220758427
This guy is a real jerk.
>>
>>220759170
we prefer the term faggot around here but yeah
>>
>>220758339
>Norm is the GOAT of stand up comedy
No one says this.
Norm was the GOAT of JOKES.
>>
I always wondered where he got his jokes from
>>
https://archive.org/details/Norm_Macdonald_Live

This is why he's the funniest guy ever.
Super Dave is the best one overall. It's also meta, because they were close friends who tried to out shock the other in their private lives, so the "fake" outrage super Dave has to the jokes makes it funnier.
Fred stoller is a good one because it has the best delivery of Norms serial killer joke.

Nick Swarsen and Andy Dick are great because they don't care about offensive jokes, and the running mangrate ad that occurs, and the running 911 joke.

Todd Glass and Margret Cho are interesting because Norm absolutely hates them because they're woke and he trolls them the whole time.
>>
>>220759353
The serial killer bit starts at 1:06:28 and it's an absolute masterpiece.
>>
>>220759459
On the Fred stoller episode
>>
>>220758710
This
Norm would constantly break other comedians, especially Dennis Miller and Conan. Also, he was the last comedian to perform on Letterman, at Letterman's request.

see>>220758384
The ALL THE STARS ARE HERE YouTube video demonstrates the difference between him and others very well.
>>
>>220759483
>he was the last comedian to perform on Letterman
I still think about the dentification joke fairly regularly
>>
>>220758555
I saw him alive on TV a bunch of times.
>>
>>220759353
His lmaolocaust denying self hating jew friend and cohost Adam Eget is a good straight man.
>>
>>220759353
Personally I always skip the Super Dave episode, not because I don't like the episode (it's great), but I just find Dave's voice to be insufferably grating in my ear-balls
>>
>>220761407
yeah except he jerks off punks under bridges for $5 a pop
>>
>>220759353
You can always tell who Norm respected and liked and that made the bits that much funnier
>>
>>220758339
>standup
Bad
>movies
Okay
>SNL
Delicious and masterful
>talk shows/interviews
Good medicine
>talk shows/interviews with industry retards
GOAT
>the show
Relentlessly shitting on Adam Egot (Igrit?), whatever that does for you
>vaguely implying that obvious closet homosexuals are gay on tv to make them seethe for years after (Andy Richter, the twink on SNL)
*chef’s kiss*
>>
>>220763573
His standup was the weakest part of his act but it wasn't bad. It was still A tier and better than 99.99% of other comedians
>>
>>220759483
>Norm would constantly break
That's not what breaking means, you fucking braindead fag. Typical fan of Norm. Can't even speak English
>>
>>220763573
>>220763592
Yeah what’s this “norms standup sucks” thing coming from? I’ve listened to “Me Doing Standup” and it’s great.
>>
>>220758339
Thinking back on it, he was pretty problematic.
>>
>>220763667
it’s a weight-ed scale.
>>
He was one of the best ballbusters in the business. Rickles could make people laugh, but Norm made them squirm.
>>
>>220764658
Norm was a borderline genius that played the part of an idiot perfectly. His stuff is so rewatchable because there's so many little jokes and digs at people I didn't get when I was younger. Just an absolute sensei of fucking with people because he was smarter than everyone he interacted with and he knew it
