widows peak vs from is an interesting comparison. widows monster of the week episodes are a lot better than the lore episodes. just letting characters be themselves amidst spooky shit. these last two lore episodes feel too focused on plot and we're robbed of more fun character moments. whereas with from, in which most of the characters are shit and their interactions are meh, the lore episodes feel like "finally i can find out whats going on so i can stop watching this shit".
