Is anyone else nostalgic for 2015? The last good era of cinema
>things weren't horrible yet
>the internet not overrun by lunatics yet
>a new high quality, high budget capeshit every week.
>comfy underrated films on Redbox every week.
>>
2015 was the peak of my life and everything has been swiftly downhill since then. I want to go back.

memes aside, it was a great year for cinema. best movies of 2015, according to me:

1. Knight of Cups (dir. Terrence Malick)
2. Journey to the Shore (dir. Kiyoshi Kurosawa)
3. Nasty Baby (dir. Sebastian Silva)
4. Mistress America (dir. Noah Baumbach)
5. The Visit (dir. M. Night Shyamalan)
6. Taxi (dir. Jafar Panahi)
7. Anomalisa (dir. Duke Johnson & Charlie Kaufman)
8. Bone Tomahawk (dir. S. Craig Zahler)

These stupid things came along AFTER streaming and while video rental stores were still limping into the grave. What a waste of space.

This, 2015 just had a different form of grifters on the internet back then, all of them went fucking crazy or stopped posting forever except like 3 people, I am not nostalgic for that era of memes and craziness at all. Although I will admit 2016 was some what fun

My life only got decent in 2016. I lost my virginity, I was meeting new people and I was finally feeling confident in myself. That and the lead up to Brexit and Trump getting elected was too good. Prior to that, I was just a social outcast who stayed in his room all day. It's sort of plateau'd since then but I still consider 2016 to be one of the best years since 2007.
