I really like how the magic works in Dragonslayer. Like how at the end the wizard fights the dragon by summoning a storm and commands lightning strikes that way, instead of just generically shooting thunderbolts out of his hands.

I think that’s why we see Galen with “magic eyes” in the final scene. He’s come to understand what magic requires, even if he’s not entirely conscious of it.
