>>220800931There's a lot of reasons.ASM2 was essentially suppose to launch multiple movies, and it failed to connect with audiences and struggled at the box office.Kevin Feige was trying to work with Sony, but he very much disliked ASM2 and gave them major notes eviscerating the movie prior to its release.Amy Pascal got overly ambitious with her idea of copying the MCU with doing sinister 6 and so on. Sony refused to back all these projects. A part 3 was very much discussed, but after negotiations with Disney succeeded, it was decided to reboot spider-man for the MCU. Remember, ASM2 came out in 2014 and Spider-man got added to the MCU in 2016. Part 3 was stalled and scrapped to work with Disney.
