is it bad that my taste hasnt changed since i was a teen? i rewatched a lot of critically acclaimed movies that i hated as a teen and still ended up hating them even though its been like a decade

Honestly yeah, probably means you're dumb. I was disappointed by Blade Runner, Vertigo, Suspiria, and Videodrome as a teen but came to love all of them. Sounds like you aren't maturing.

Depends what kind of a teen you were

Depends which ones.
Critically acclaimed doesn't always mean good.
My tastes as a teen used to be more sophisticated/pretentious depending on how you look at it.
I've learned to appreciate different aspects of films as I grew older.

nah. it means you're gigabased

yeah so i mean the imdb top 100
things like lotr, star wars, shawshank redemption etc.

Yea no of the critically acclaimed stuff those are probably some of the most contentious, they're all genre films and it's entirely normal to not like any of them. Alec Guinness himself didn't care much for star wars.

Yes, it means you are mentally stunted. Your inability to capitalise "I" supports this.
