French cinema is just horrible. Take anatomy of a fall for exemple, one of the last french movies that was supposed to be a success, I have rarely watched such a boring movie
The problem with French cinema is that it is heavily subventioned and therefore there is little incentive to be succesful and appealing, and is heavily political.

I don't mind French movies, but I really hate the French New Wave along with every other film "movement" of the mid 20th century. Italian Neorealism, New Hollywood, British New Wave, Japanese New Wave, all garbage
