I tried making this a week ago but the thread got derailed because we were too preoccupied with eating shit. Anyway yeah post your front page and discuss others. Also yes I'm serious about Norbit in the top 4 I love that film

I hate every single fucking comment on letterboxd

Checked
This is fake right? I can't imagine any human being having this combo of favorite and recent films (with those scores too)
>>

I don't use Letterboxd. But I'll tell you about some excellent, recent watches:
>The Drama
>The Wailing
>The Promised Land
>Virgin Punk

I agree it's so annoying that people post like on twitter. I usually make an effort to block the biggest repeat offenders of writing meaningless quip reviews but it feels a bit impotent.
>>220805996
Interstellar is so awful don't even start
>>

>John carpenter movies just aren't that good
Agreed. He's an iconic genre director, but that's all he is.
>>
>>220806135
I like them but they're pretty overrated and the thing is massively overrated even though it is his best and really cool. I know it's petty but I find my enjoyment of the film is hindered a bit by knowing it's among the reddit hall of fame
>>
>>220806043
Thx anon I'll look into them
>>
>>220806120
>Interstellar is so awful don't even start
Still somehow the least offensive entry in that favorites selection.
>>
>>220804754
Idk anon why post anything? Maybe I just felt like it
>>
>>220806176
I get it. I've always had a weak spot for In the Mouth of Madness and his Masters of Horror episode, but his bigger films mean nothing to me.

Yeah that's true actually I haven't seen the mummy but the rest of his four are films I really don't like. Don't worry anon it's ok to have bad taste I love Norbit. At least we agree Empire of the sun is really good

It's like a worst of 90s trends. Shit humor, shit aesthetics, and a massive waste of the lovely setting. Yu-Gi-Oh! > Fraser's The Mummy
>>
>>220804328
The Long Walk was a solid 3/5.
>>
>>220806464
You're quite esoteric anon I've not seen any of these. I've heard of angel's egg and wake in fright. Are any of your faves approachable for someone who's a bit of a simpleton like me?
>>
>>220806464
Very pseudy. Wake in Fright is crap, by the way, and Eggers' remake of it mogs it on all accounts.
>>
>>220806509
I didn't care for it
>>
>>220806524
Dekalog is a series with 10 episodes, each being more or less roughly based on one of the Ten Commandments. Angel's Egg can be enjoyed for its mood alone, but you can also read up on the symbolism after watching; it's Biblical as well.

>Episode ##

I thought letterboxd didn't do tv? (I dont have an account)
>>
>>220806972
They do, though only some of it. Same with anime. It's very sloppy.
>>
>>220805996
I can't bring myself to watch Project Hail Mary. In fact, I think I'd rather get kicked in the balls than sit through 150 minutes of bogged Goose chungusing around with generic rock monster, in a movie directed by the 2X Jump Street, LEGO Movie, and Spider-Verse redditors, filmed by Greig "make it look cheap" Fraser.
>>
>assigning number ratings to movies
who do you think you are?

use your words and write a review like a man
>>
>>220806972
>>220807042
Wallander snuck through because they call them "films", each episode is 90 or so minutes and based on a different book in the series.

>>220807402
Maybe you'd be a happier person if you based your opinions on reality instead of what shitposters say?
>>
>>220808056
>if you based your opinions on reality
But I do.
>>
>>220804328
Based norbit appreciator.
