The chief problem Rian and his fans have is that they know full well what they claim never happened and defend it twice as hard specifically because it is a lie. Rian Johnson did not make a mature Star Wars movie that challenged fans. He made an immature cartoon that opened with a your mom joke and forced quips so tonally jarring it makes late Marvel movie a seem serious and mature. Rian Johnson did not make an original movie. He broke up the main cast (ala Empire Strikes Back) and tried to subvert it with most stories accomplishing nothing in the end leading to a Battle of Hoth ripoff so unsubtle they had to force the guy who directed Rogue One to lick dirt and salt off the ground and exclaim to the audience "LOL IT'S SALT NOT SNOW! THAT MEANS WE TOTALLY AREN'T DOING HOTH AGAIN GUYZ!" Rian Johnson did not write a deep narrative. He wrote a rant about how much he fucking hates continuity and when JJ Abrams followed his advice by shitting on his continuity, they all outted themselves as hypocrites, highlighting that they really hated good continuity and it's okay for them to shit on things, just not you.Rian and his fans cannot be honest about any of this.
