Read the whole To Catch a Predator fiasco and Bill Conradt case, following his suicide (he was not yet been charged) local district attorneys refused to prosecute the 25 remaining suspects, meaning almost no one from that specific sting served time in jail. The show production team collaborated deeply with online vigilante groups (such as Perverted-Justice) to lure suspects, this blurred the lines of entrapment, resulting in evidence that was highly challenging or inadmissible in a court of law. Several cases were completely thrown out. Some judges and prosecutors cited issues with entrapment, violations of due process, or a lack of legal jurisdiction because the show's decoy was physically located in a different state from the suspect.

All I'm saying is that they are clearly manipulating people to agree to it by leaving out the age part until the last minute because people are going to make bad decisions once they are invested into something and don't want to lose it after a lot of hard work. These shows used decoys that were over 18 so it is entrapment. If they were using actual underaged girls then likely the men wouldn't be attracted to them because they'd look like actual underaged people and thus no meet-up would occur.
