>knew Star Wars was shit before everyone else did
Apologize
>>
it is shit
I can see why 70s kids liked it when they were about eight years old
baffles me how it's become one of the biggest franchises of all time because it's absolutely dogshit
>>
>>220819259
I think the simplicity of good Vs evil is just Jungian. Children especially look for those, but I think more and more people have a hard time actually growing up so they keep clinging to these ideas of extremes. Reality is a lot more muddled, and some autists can't deal with that.
>>
>>220819224
No, he was wrong. Because he only knew about the real Star Wars, which is incredibly good. Sorry you’re an idiot or a zoom zoom, or both.
>>
>>220819224
He didn't hate it, he just said people shouldn't dedicate their lives to this shit and should do more with their lives.
>>
Lawrence of Arabia was no more realistic and mature than Star Wars
>>
>>220819802
this
he was right to berate that kid
i mean fuck i cannot count how many times for the life of me i've seen the movies but the last thing i would do when meeting someone from them is run up and say HI I'VE SEEN THE MOVIE A THOUSAND TIMES PLEASE SUCK MY COCK
and i say this having met anthony daniels and mark hamill btw. i didn't spill my spaghetti one bit, i just treated them like human beings and had a great conversation as a result. honestly the OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG factor runs out real quick once you see they're actual people.

maybe it would help if the actors weren't pricks IRL, Ewan laughed about refusing to respond to fans who want him to say "Hello there!" It's a funny meme, and he refuses to play along. The rest are even worse, I.E., "people made fun of jar-jar so meesa gonna contemplate da bombad suicide, okie-day"? How do they dare to tell people "get over it" when they clearly cannot?
>>
>>220820085
those were shitty fans, that's why. actors are good to fans who aren't assholes.

There's zero proof of that. Hayden taken the criticism in stride, he understands the memes, but everyone else is just an asshole. I guess James Earl Jones was okay. But Guinness, Ford, Hamill, etc can't seem to decide if they actually care about the fans or not. Is it that difficult to just be nice to the people who made you rich? Have to start a coke addiction like Carrie Fisher because it's too difficult to say "Hello there!" and make people smile?
>>
>>220819224
Star Wars is a great kids movie and became shit the moment they tried to make it for adults
>>
>>220819224
He saw people were getting obsessed with it. Probably the same things I saw with Phantom Menace's release, adult men surrounded by children, none of which their own, reaching through bins of action figures trying to complete their collections.
>>
>>220819259
It sold a metric fuckton of toys
>>
>>220820200
actors only become assholes when you recognize them specifically for one role and nothing else
so yeah going up to ewan and screaming HELLO THERE when he's got other work on his plate or likewise with guinness who had decades of work at that point is still a shit thing to do
ford never cared for science fiction much, but he loves indiana jones. also he loved air force one and has no problem quoting "get off my plane!" to fans
fisher was a drunk whore who used to fuck fans periodically so that answers that lmao
>>
>>220820256
>fisher was a drunk whore who used to fuck fans periodically so that answers that lmao
Seriously? I’m jealous if this is true
>>
>>220820267
well the drunk whore part was definitely true, she also claims to have fucked george for the part (or someone posing as george). idk about the fan interaction, that might have been a rumor she just decided to run with. but i wouldn't put it past her, many people on set had a go with her.

>>220819224
He knew it was good, but he didn't know people would obsess over it.
It was supposed to make kids think about god, not become a religion in itself.
>>
Actually just finished watching Ep 4 again. I feel like it's not as great as I remember. Or maybe because I just watched the Prequels again and I keep thinking about all the connections they could have made if Ep 4 was released after the Prequels.

Insufferable, to the last.

to be fair, if you were famous for some kind of meme like 6 7 and people approached you every time you stepped outside your door and wanted you to hit a quick 6 7 for you, there would very likely be a lot of times where you didn't feel like it or have the energy.
I keep that in mind whenver i've met famous people and just done my best not to annoy or inconvenience them, just let them know I appreciate their work and would appreciate an autograph if they had the time.

I thought what he said about Asoka went a bit too far though.
>>
>>220819781
Hmmmm. You make an astute point. Do you think it mayhaps also be somewhat of the Schophenhauerian within the concept of the force?

She was a good friend
>>
>>220819998
To be fair to Alec Guiness, if that little boy DID offer to suck his cock, he’d have agreed enthusiastically. Lecherous old fruit bat.
>>
He got 2% of the revenue instead of a salary for it. I'm sure he liked the movie but it definitely set him and his family up forever.

No, they're fucking hypocritical dicks. While it may be true there are some fans who don't respect their time/privacy, (true of any profession - like people who find out you're a doctor at a party and start telling you about their genital rash and wanting free advice), the majority of people are just like you and do think about whether it's appropriate to approach them - overthink it if anything.

But if you're going to work in film, you should expect to get strong reactions from people who just saw it one or two years after you shot it. They're not going to give a shit about some faggy stage play you're doing at the time that you personally like better because your actorfag ego craves an immediate audience response. Have you ever seen these cocksuckers treating a theatre audience giving them a standing ovation and demanding and encore the way they treat film fans who so much as ask them if they'd consider coming back for a movie sequel?

It's all hoity-toity horseshit theatrefag snobbery masking a desire for instant gratification. Most of you fags have probably never been to a live performance, but these same faggots will hang around practically begging for adulation after the show, (great time to really fuck with their heads by the way, you have the advantage).

And nobody else in any other sector does this kind of shit when it just fanboy shit. If you wanted to tell Bill Gates how much you loved Windows 95 he wouldn't take offence to that. You think Richard Branson is going to be offended if you mentioned his vinyl record business, just because he's currently running an airline or whatever the fuck? You think Einstein wouldn't be happy for you to shake his hand in 1950 and tell him you thought his 1908 work on the Photoelectric Effect was the shit? Actors are the only odd man out here. Everyone else is proud of their past work and are glad when people want to express their heartfelt appreciation for it.

I'm not a fucking cartoon!

I'm not particularly familiar with Schopenhauer, do you mean the Will?

Isn’t this the fag that supports gay rights?
