Sometimes I even do it for NES and SNES games. some ugly early technicolor shows really look better in black and white. Also anytime a modern movie has an all-yellow environment that looks like dogshit, like Rebel Moon, off the top of my head (not shitting on the actual movie, but I hate when it gets all yellow).Playing a PS2 game or more modern game in black and white always gives me a headache for some reason though. Modern movies in black and white are just not healthy for the eyes, even though watching legitmate black and white movies all day is fine. I don't know exactly why, but I guess modern camera and/or filming environments capture certain densities of shade that are just too much to take in monochromatically. In any case, double filming seems retarded since I can just hit Ctrl+Win+C to switch Color Filter mode. Unless the black and white filming addresses my problem which I doubt.I remember seeing a black and white screening of Godzilla Minus Zero, and it looked bad. I doubt these clowns know what they're doing.

It's not very good and Nicholas Cage is a bad actor, (and/or the director sucks) they should have cast someone else for the role.
I refuse to either pay for or watch diegetic lighting slop, ever again. I don't care how ambitious it claims to be, or what IP it represents. To me, it is a monicker of laziness and nepotism. Either light your scene properly, or don't film at all.
