What other TV show's finales were hated back when they aired but retrospectively were kino?
>>
Lost's final episode is fucking trash dude. 80% of it is just pointless flash sideways filler or trudging around aimlessly on the island.
>>

Die, Lostshill
>>
>>220821602
The Boys ;^)
>>
>>220821618
Concluding and connecting most of the characters' struggles is not filler. You'd have noticed this if you watched the show for the characters and not the secondary mysteries that surrounded them, which were solved anyway.
>>
I thought LOST's finale was fine and Sopranos' is unironically great. Now, there's no kind of redemption awaiting for The Boys or GoT's endings.
>>
>>220821618
Imagine being too stupid for LOST
>>
>>220821638
So what was the ending of Lost anyway? I stopped watching it after season 2. Did any of the random shit on the island make ANY sense?
>>
>>220821638
Nothing is concluded in a fake mystery box created to keep the audience guessing.
>>
>>220821726
Most were given half-assed "answers" to placate viewers, as if they were going down a checklist.
>>
>>220821726
In the context of a show with a smoke monster in the very first episode and characters having flashes from the future in their dreams during the first season, yes, it eventually all made sense.

If you ignore all this and try to believe the series was meant to be realistic and scientifically accurate at the start, then you're gonna be pissed.

>>220821746
>Nothing is concluded
Stop repeating what you've read about the show on the internet and give it a try, so you can argue your own points by yourself as an adult.

>>220821752
False as well. In fact, most of the questions don't get a specific answer by a character explaining the mystery. Most of the answers are to be found by connecting dots through out the show.
>>
>>220821746
Give me TWO examples of un concluded plots/mystery boxes in Lost.
As far as I remember pretty much everything got an explanation. Maybe you didn't like those explanations, sure whatever, but it sounds more like you didn't watch it, or watched it with your dick in your hand and hentai on your other monitor

FPBP
LOSTtards will try to convince you that it's about the journey or it was never about the mysteries, which is a bunch of baloney. One of the worst finales in the history of tv.
>>220821602
The LOST finale sucked
>>
>>220821899
>LOSTtards will try to convince you that it's about the journey or it was never about the mysteries
Said nobody ever. Of course the show is constructed as an epic journey, the characters are the core of it as well, AND the mysteries get resolved eventually.
>The LOST finale sucked
If you did watch the whole thing and think this, you're pretty much soulless. Maybe Jacob will touch you soon, who knows.
>>
>>220821602
I do like both. Sopranos is peak realism while Lost is peak wholesome, they're both satisfying in their own ways.
>>
>>220821602
I rewatched LOST fully last year. Its pretty enjoyable and dare I say kino (theres a clear drop off of qualityin Season 4). But that final season is terrible. So much padding and just revisting of locations to extend the weak plot of The Man in Black "doing something evil". The flash sideways is pure filler on a rewatch because there's no mystery. I will say that I liked Jack and his personal journey a lot more on rewatch (final shot is kino), but a lot of other characters get fucked over in the final season (eg Desmond, Sayid)

>Said nobody ever.
Join any LOST thread on /tv/ and see for yourself the people defending that shitty finale. It will be either one of those excuses.
>pretty much soulless.
Imagine defending the LOST finale and having the audacity to call anyone else names.
>>

Finally an understandable opinion from someone who really watched it. However S4 might be my personal favorite, since it's the only of the show without a single weak episode. Last two are my least favorite, but I think I prefer S6 to S5.
>>
>>220821602
Too much hate is focused towards Lost's finale itself instead of the underwhelmingly shit season it belongs to. I don't ever want to watch the Japanese translator in the temple or the worthless Jacob disciples that all get killed effortlessly ever again.
>>
>>220822438
Ilana and Zoe are the worst characters of the entire show by far, that's for sure. I even liked the two women guarding the looking glass station more.
>>
>>220822333
The finale is not the fucking problem with Lost, if anything its the highlight of the last 2 seasons. The problem is all the other lame shit in those 2 seasons.
Every time one of you blindly just shits on the finale it outs you as either critically retarded or a bandwagoner who never watched it.
>>
>>220822592
But the finale was shit. Just because according to you the last 2 seasons were bad AS WELL, doesn't make the finale as less shitty.
The fact that you can only resort to name calling when this garbage show is called out, proves how awful it really was.
>>
>>220822655
You can't even read my post carefully enough to understand it.
You were filtered
>>
>>220822696
>gets called out for defending trash
>f-filtered
Truly a show for midwits
>>
Last for me just saying
Thank you... LOST
>LOST?
Because uh... it's a TV show about a bunch of people who get lost on an island.
Oh yeah.

Lost is the TV show that broke my "falling for the hype" conditioning. After Lost, I have never again willingly fallen for a shit TV show. Even the ones that turned shit, I predicted early and stopped liking as soon as they started turning shit (i.e. GoT in season 2).
>>
>>220821602
The Sopranos finale is crazy because in hindsight there really is no other way I can imagine it ending. It's such a perfect and appropriate ending and no matter what alternative I think of, it doesn't hit as hard as the ending we got. Like.... what exactly do haters of the ending want? There is no way things would end well for Tony, he was fucked no matter what. Would it really be more satisfying to see him get shot or arrested? I don't think so.
This ending is one of the most iconic and impactful of all time and legit elevates the show to legendary status despite already being close to it.
