people rate this movie based on the atmosphere and cinematography. If you think about what is happening on screen it's actually not far from Room tier.
>>220826368It doesn't hold a candle to how great the other 2013 Villenueve/Gyllenhaal film is, but it's still a damn good crime thriller. It's kind of faggy to act like style is irrelevant when 95% of filmmaking history and the most celebrated films are pure style. Prisoners is no exception. There is nothing wrong with a style-heavy film.
