he was actually in a 4th dimensional structure built by 5th dimensional beings (us in the future) to bridge to the 3rd dimension (us in the past)
>>
>>220835063
what even is a "5th dimensional being"...?

Buddy I already posted the Carl Sagan clip about the 4th dimension, you're gonna have to watch it then extrapolate from it what the 5th dimension is

The place with 5 dimensions, duh
>>
>>220834270
How would you depict the 5th dimension?
>>
The official explanation is that it was sent back in time by future humans, which doesn’t make any sense. Because if it was needed for humanity to survive in the first place, then how did humanity survive long enough to reach the future and send it back? But whatever, I’m always checked out by that point.

What weird fucking time thing is Nolan going to do in Odyssey? Is the whole movie just clips in random order?
>>
>>220835250
Time loop, nigga
>>
>>220835276
The book itself jumps around time and place. Odysseus spends 20 years stuck on Circe's sex island while his wife has to keep fighting off the pack of suitors freeloading in his house who want to bed her/take his throne. It's actually part of why its such a revered story that's stuck around, it was one of the first true adventure tales that wasnt merely a recitation of events but an actual narrative
>>
>>220835079
They didn't explain much beyond them being us who have evolved beyond the third dimension. They are basically humans in the year 1 billion AD, and they are asking themselves for help in the past (it's a paradox).
Brand describes them as being able to look into the past like it's a canyon or the future as if it's a mountain, and they demonstrate they can do just that with the tesseract because they can't physically touch things without time
>>
>Uhh coop you've been staring at your daughters room for hours now. Shouldn't you be broadcasting the data to earth?
>"oh slick this is going live alright"
What did Nolan meme by this?

Cooper watched his daughter flick her bean in bed. Later on he also watched her get fucked insensible on the same bed by one of the local farmhands. Love.

Nolan is not a good filmmaker, but beyond that, it works fine as a causal loop. Sidestep your experience of linear time, cause preceding effect. Get rid of notions of what happened "originally" that allowed humans to get beyond the crisis. What happened the first time? Coop communicated with 5D beings from his future. Coop always communicated with 5D beings from his future. Kyle Reese always appears in 1984. Never did a 1984 occur without him. That type of thing.

It fucking doesn't. Why don't you apologist try to read the source material once in your life?

Telemachus traels a bit to find news about his father. Then we listen to Odysseus narrating his adventures. When he's done he travels to Ithaca, joing his son and then he kills all the migrants occupying his land. I mean suitors.

At best you have ONE flashback in the mid of a linear story
