There’s something Satanic about having a little girl do this. Granted Michael mostly preyed on little boys, but still.

Where were the scenes of him sleeping naked with little boys? (non sexually at all of course).

4 MJ songs among Top10 most streamed in response to the movie

“Billie Jean” at No. 3, having scored 32.9 million chart-eligible streams and selling 4,000 downloads in the United States in April 2026

It’s followed by

“Beat It” (No. 5; 21.2 million streams, 3,000 downloads),

“Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” (No. 7; 18 million streams, 3,000 downloads)

and “Thriller” (No. 10; 11.8 million streams, 2,000 downloads), all of which were also featured in the biopic.

Nearly 20 years after its release, Iron Man has been surpassed by Michael at the domestic box office. In 2008, Iron Man earned $319 million in North America, with a worldwide gross of $585.7 million, and jump-started what eventually became the MCU, Hollywood's most successful film franchise.

>Amazon Prime Video's Project Hail Mary also eclipsed Iron Man a few weeks ago.
>March 20 was release of Hail Mary
>April 24 was release of Michael, so it's coming

From a global perspective, Michael has long since passed Iron Man, having grossed over $795 million thus far, and it still hasn't been released in Japan.
>wait until it hits Japan lol

Michael is primed to be the first music biopic to truly threaten Bohemian Rhapsody's record-setting $911 million worldwide performance since 2018.

When compared to modern MCU films, Michael has been much more of a hit stateside; it's already outgrossed all of Marvel Studios' 2025 releases: Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts, and even The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Donald Trump and Michael Jackson maintained a decades-long friendship dating back to the 1980s. They frequently socialized in the same exclusive circles in New York City, where Jackson even lived in Trump Tower for a period. The two were also in business, with Jackson notably attending the 1990 grand opening of the Trump Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City.

Over the years, Trump consistently praised the pop star as the greatest entertainer he had ever known. When Jackson faced intense media scrutiny and child molestation allegations, Trump became one of the few high-profile celebrities to publicly defend his character. Trump vehemently denied the accusations, arguing that Jackson simply loved being around children and was heavily misunderstood by the public

>Michael is primed to be the first music biopic to truly threaten Bohemian Rhapsody's record-setting $911 million worldwide performance

From May 12: “Michael” is officially a box-office juggernaut, after raking in $577 million worldwide in just three weeks
It surpassed “Elvis” to become the second-highest-grossing biopic ever.
It now trails only “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
>>
Elvis and Priscilla only had one child, who ended up banging Nicholas Cage in the early 2000s
Someone pointed out that Cage got Michael Jackson's sloppy seconds, but when I saw that, my first thought was I can't seeing MJ having sex.

After MJ disappeared from the public eye, whitened his skin, got nose surgery to look white, he did his first interview in 15 years with Oprah

She straight up asked if he was a virgin and he got all shy (on top of how he's already a shy person) and said "I'm a gentleman." You could take it as "a gentleman never tells" kinda thing as that's what a lot of his words could be strung together as but if you watch it, it does come across like "yes, I'm a virgin, that's personal, why would you even ask me that?"

IIRC a pastor or priest read off a list as long as the aisles of all the good deeds MJ did.

>it’s impossible to ignore the resurgence of MJ across pop culture. Everywhere you look, people are talking about him again, streaming his music, recreating his dances, revisiting old performances, and packing theaters to watch Michael, the long-awaited biopic that has reignited global fascination with Michael Jackson.

>Following the release of Michael Jackson, the singer surged back to the top of streaming charts across platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. According to Pop Base, last week, MJ was the most-streamed artist on the Global Spotify Daily Top Artist chart. He also topped the Billboard Artist 100 chart, making him the sixth artist to reach Number 1 posthumously, and just the second this decade. According to Billboard, this year, Jackson also “becomes only the fifth act with at least one new top 10 album in every decade from the 1970s onwards.”

>I went to see Michael in theaters twice after its release, and both times the theater was completely packed, not a single empty seat. It was also the longest I’ve ever seen people stay during the credits, simply listening to Michael’s music and taking in the experience together.

One angle to see the 80s and 90s in: the "moon walk" era

1983 - Micheal Jackson's first "moon walk" on stage
>"six seconds that changed the world," the moment pop culture shifted forever.
>during his performance of "Billie Jean" on the landmark 1983 television special celebrating the 25th anniversary of Motown Records. The special is widely considered one of the most iconic moments in television and music history.
>Taped on March 25, 1983, at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Southern California, it broadcast on NBC on May 16, 1983, drawing over 47 million viewers and winning an Emmy Award.

2001 - last "moon walk" on stage
>Michael Jackson performed his final public moonwalk on July 7, 2001, during his performance of "Billie Jean" at the Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Celebration at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, New York City. This concert special was taped and later broadcast on CBS.
>45 million people watched all or part of the special, making it one of the highest-rated musical specials in television history
>was also watched by 30 million viewers, on CBS, when it aired later the same year

I have had several friends, co-workers and relatives tell me over the past month that not only did Michael Jackson not molest any kids, but that he was actually saving them from Epstein. This is now what the average person believes about Michael Jackson. The accusations are pretty much worthless in this day and age of mass Internet-induced psychosis, so anyone who thinks he's guilty might as well just throw in the towel.

>people are going back to theaters two, three, or even more times. For a few hours, audiences feel like they are finally witnessing the iconic performances of the King of Pop live in an immersive experience

>Right now, social media feels completely consumed by Michael Jackson again. Open TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and X, and you will see that they are completely flooded with old interviews, concert clips, fan edits, vocal analyses, dance recreations, and discussions about the movie and his legacy. Videos have gone viral of fans dancing in theater aisles after the credits roll, crowds singing together, and people throwing parties in the street across the world, singing MJ songs together. For many people, this has become a full “MJ hyperfixation” era, a collective obsession with rediscovering everything that made him special.

>For Gen Z, Michael Jackson’s passing in 2009 was also one of the first major celebrity deaths they truly remember. That moment left a lasting emotional impact on an entire generation, and the movie has reopened many of those memories.

There's easily enough material for a trilogy. They glossed over plenty to fit the time period portrayed in just this movie. This movie could easily have been 2 movies. This might have been one of those rare times where the 8 episode high budget tv show would have been a better option, probably not financially but narratively. Theres enough there for 2 good seasons but his family dont want a gritty exploration.
