Committing to having some kind of monster get unleashed every episode really constrained the potential for observational, slice of life humor. I was reading a lot of Megg, Mogg, & Owl and Eye Of The Majestic Creature back then, and those seemed like what RS had the potential to be. That's my hangup and I guess I just wanted the show to be something else.Anybody else get my drift?

They would just have the supernatural shit escalate in a completely arbitrary way with completely arbitrary new rules so the conflict could be magically and abruptly stopped rather than properly resolved. Regular Show is a 7/10 show in a very unique way where its that the first 70 percent of an episode's runtime is good.
