>Vegas always portrayed as a fun party city in movies
>Go there and its on par with a strip mall with a few attractions

Was there a bigger misconception ever forced by movies?
>>
vegas is dead right now
also did you actually go with friends who wanted to party or not?
>>

Gambling is for degenerates and retards, why would it be fun? If you want fun play a video game or go hiking
>>
>>220848381
you have to leave your hotel room to have fun.
>>
>>220848381
Vegas is for women and boomers, not young men
>>
>>220848381
Legal sports gambling and Covid killed it. I was there in 2019 and even though that’s not its heyday by any means it was still fun and affordable.

thats why you went to north vegas to play penny slots and get in fist fights with locals and going home with a cheap whore.
>>
all of it

hollywood is state propaganda literally. it's overseen by the us gov't since the 1940s. all the themes you are seeing are crafted and greenlighted to control public mindspace
>>
>>220848381
Vegas isn't as amazing as it's often portrayed in movies, but it also changed A LOT in the last decade and mainly for the worse.
>>
>>220848381
>Most movies about Rome show the colosseum as some massive NFL style football stadium
>Visit in person on a school trip
>The actual fighting arena is the size of like 2 tennis courts

It's actually way smaller IRL than what they show in movies which surprised me when i saw it
>>
Went to Vegas last year for a UFC event. Outside of the Battlefield Vegas which let you shoot a bunch of different and historical rifles, there wasn't much else to do. The strip was almost deserted because it was too fucking hot outside and you couldn't park anywhere without being charged $20 an hour.

The corporations ran that shit into the ground
>>
There is a lot less camaraderie and party like atmosphere for sure. It's almost eerily distant, everyone is just kind of in their own little degen world losing money and drifting from thing to thing. Lots of foreigners too which makes matters worse.
>>
>>220848432
>Legal sports gambling and Covid killed it

This
Everyone with Internet access can gamble on the fucking weather or what Trump is gonna say tomorrow. Also the biggest alure of Vegas in the 90s/2000s was that it was a cheap option to vacation but even that's gone. Today it feels like a relic rather than a cool destination
>>
>>220848476
>Went to Vegas last year for a UFC event.
Which one?
>there wasn't much else to do.
Pools, games, shows, restaurants, spas, helicopter tours, people watching... yeah man nothing to do.
>>
>>220848381
>where ever Op goes there is no fun to be found
The problem is you, you goddamn pajeet.

>>220848398
You think op has friends? You are a comedian lol
>>
I would only go to Vegas for the exclusive Cirque du Soleil shows
>>
why would I spend thousands of dollars going to Vegas when Fallout New Vegas is free?

wait, surely someone could come up with some good kino regarding the sphere, no? why hasn't anyone yet?
I bet it would be really fucking expensive
>>
>>220849307
Beatles LOVE! was the best one and it got discontinued.
>>
why doesn't the mafia open a new cheaper Vegas?
>>
>>220849467
Wait you still dont know that italian crime families were just puppets for jews?
>>
>Vegas
>Miami
>LA
>SF
>NY
For those with experience, which city is the best if you ignore the bad parts and are looking for a good time?
>>
Vegas is a big city with 2.5 million people, along with Henderson.

What OP and everyone else refers to is The Strip, which is in Paradise, not Vegas. Paradise is where all the action is. Vegas is just another big city.
>>
>>220849859
really depends on what you idea of a good time is. If you want art and culture, concerts and exhibits and lectures, then NY, SF, and DC are the ones.

If it's just party time, then anything is okay during good weather. Every big city has loads of bars and clubs -- even Salt Lake City.
>>
>>220849354
They regularly show the wizard of Oz for 125$ a ticket
>>
>>220849498
Elaborate
>>
>>220848381
OK calling it a strip mall is really going too far. Its like a Disneyland you don't have to pay for.
>>
>>220849467
They had Atlantic City and it crashed
>>
>>220849354
Metallica is doing a concert there in October…which would be exciting if it was 80s Metallica.
>>
Vegas was affordable and fun up until this decade. I think after the war they'll lower prices again to get the fat retards coming back.
>>
>>220850007
that doesn't sounds worthwhile
>>220850420
imagine if it was an AI recreation of 80s Metallica...
would it be worthwhile then?
>>
>>220850514
they're in the retard death spiral where executives go "if we make something half as good and charge twice as more, we'll actually QUADRUPLE our profit!"

same shit happened to the hamburger.
>>
>>220849944
>erm, akshually...
kill yourself
>>
>>220850420
Metallica at the sphere would be sick.
>>
>>220848443
Please buy our property developments near yellowstone. We grossly overextended our investments and someone needs to hold the bag.
>>
>>220849983
Cool, thanks. How about the women, are they pretty much the same?
>>
What really happened is mgm and caesars bought up all their competition and the strip became a duopoly. Miriam Adelson owns caesars and shes a zio. I only stay at mgm properties.
>>
>>220849859
Who cares nerd. You're not gonna go to any of them so it doesnt matter.
I live in LA and I dont recommend anyone come here.
>>
>>220850904
Nta but can I visit LA?
>>
>>220850904
I've heard they're supposed to be some of the most fun cities in the world so it does interest me
>>
>>220849859
was in LA visiting family a while back, getting around over there kind of sucked balls
>>
>>220848476
>The corporations ran that shit into the ground
ironically, it was better under the mob lol
>>
>>220850629
This they are chasing the rich elites and have abandon the normal joe. I still want to go there though to fuck asian escorts
>>
>>220848476
I haven’t been since before COVID, but Vegas is dead during the day. Things don’t start picking up on the strip or Fremont until 9pm or later. Regardless other anons are right about legal sports gambling eating Vegas’ lunch. There’s no need to leave the comfort of your couch to gamble anymore, especially with Vegas being so expensive now
>>
Vegas is:
>actual strip where the 1% swim in money
>regular casinos for scamming boomers
>everything else is poor as shit, ket and fent everywhere, people living in storm drains
>>
why are MBAs so retarded?
>>

I've actually had multiple "last night was like a movie" nights in Vegas. It helps if you're not a fucking loser and actually have money and know how to have a good time.
pic related, its me and my buddy partying with johnny depp somewhere in the mgm grand.
>>
>>220851731
>there are actually fucking non-loser normalfags that do coke with celebrities before going back to their families posting on /tv/
O Tempora, O Mores.
>>
>>220851789
not him but you can hire johnny depp look alikes to party with you
think of it like hiring an escort except you dont bang them them
>>
>>220851527
A microcosm of future America then.
