/tv/ didn't like project hail mary? I thought it was fun. it was a nice change of pace for a deep space movie to be charming and whimsical instead of dark horror

The book for The Martian was reasonably entertaining, I feel like how stupid the science shit in PHM would make it a lot more annoying to read. It was already dumb enough in the movie.

The start is very weak, I didn't care much for the amnesiac shit. Was it like that in the book? I heard the trailer spoiled rocky which pissed people off.

It was actually a lot more aggressive in the book.
Grace spends a healthy amount of time essentially fighting with the ship's onboard robot because it won't let him out of the recovery area until his mind is in tact enough to at least remember his own name. He spends the time running some mini experiments trying to figure out at least where he is and how he got there.
