>>
*chirp noises*
>>
>>220850990
people praising this movie are the same people that praise empty canvases in museums absolute fucking retards
>>
>>220850990
After years of people bitching about jumpscares they deserve this just like they deserved Blair Witch.

Where is the camrip?
>>
>>220853612
well... so does the black guy, so...
>>
>>220853472
if the concept was so scary, why did they need to add monsters?
>>
>>220853472
i live that way everyday of my entire life and it's not scary, it's just sad
>>
>>220854681
So it's less scary.
>>
>>220850990
The movie should have just been about him
>>
>>220853472
The scary part is slowly dying of thirst and hunger while you search in vain for a way out of an infinite maze. Not getting eaten by a typical movie boogieman after an hour.
>>
>>220854087
Go see it in theatres, it looks just like a camrip anyway
>>
>>220854752
Movie solved that by making the monsters completely safely edible and i dont think they explained it but the dude casually gets a drink out of the fridge so im assuming water is also abundant
>>
>>220854681
monsters have existed since the backrooms were first created in the /x/ thread
>>
I fell asleep 25 minutes in. I can’t believe zoomers find this shit scary. The worse part horror is gonna be replicating this trash for years because low iq zoomers.
>>
>>220853472
It's a stupid nonsense concept
>>
>>220854734
it is, he even gets a superpowered pirate form

I haven't watched this but does he end up realizing it's the smoke alarm?
>>
>>220857441
>he walks toward you
>immediately move to the other edge of the room and avoid eye contact
>>
>>220851036
It's not 2015 anymore
>>
>>220853472
The concept as a whole is pretty good, but the movie removes a lot of it. The original was more like if you clip into a repository of unused gmod assets. So you deal with untextured backgrounds, poorly programmed animations, buggy actors, and the objects likely have terrible collision with each other. It's not a psychological concept at all it implies that all of reality is virtual in the literal sense, not that it's a video game.
>>
>>220853472
For the individual maybe. You don't need some gay ass Vidya concept to portray that though, there's been plenty of people stuck in inescapable situations irl that starved to death. The concept itself is extraordinarily boring, which is why they have to add spoopy doopy monsters.
>>
>>220854087
Unironically youtube. Search backrooms full movie free.
>>
>>220850990
If there's anything I like about the backrooms is that it's just a simple out-of-reality place, no monsters, nothing spooky, just an endless maze

But I never gave a fuck about the backrooms because it's for retards
>>
To be fair I'd be pretty scared if I just randomly got swapped into a different dimension too
>>
>>220857800
That's a lie.
>>
>>220857704
Literally none of that is true. The only kernel of truth is that the original idea used the word noclip to describe falling into the backrooms. There is nothing related to physics, assets, textures, etc.

Isn't Backrooms created by White people?
Why do black people insert themselves into everything?

I could make the scariest film ever made, something truly unsettling and unnerving, something akin to this type of stuff

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJ6zHUyp_V8

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHviwdECNjU

There hasn't been a horror movie like that
>>
>>220853439
That would justify the black guy as a lead actor.
>>
spoopy
>>
>>220856155
Because the concept on its own isn't scary, hence the need for monsters.
>>
>>220850990
I feel like the movie was unchairtable to Clark. He had problems, but Mary's verbal beat down didn't ring true, and I think him going as crazy as he did felt unrealistic.
>>
>>220853439
Would watch
>>
>>220854769
I don't gonna pay to watch that shit
>>
>>220850990
Unnerving =/= scary =/= horror
The Backrooms are unnerving. They're uncomfortable and disquieting, but thrilling in a way, absent of horror in and of themselves. If the main thrust is getting lost in them, that's scary, but it's not horror, it's just a situation. By that measure, something like 127 hours would be a horror movie.
Whatever is IN the Backrooms is what makes them scary, and what makes it horror.
>>
>>220858342
Thr concept involves and started with monsters
>>
>>220853439
how you gon NOT be high, in the crackrooms?
ol' chinese riddle for ya
>>
>>220850990
It was really cool seeing it on the big screen with theatre stereo. You won’t get it unless you watched it at a theatre.

Lel
>>
AWW SHEEIT NIGGA IS THAT A FUGGIN' STAPLUH?
Y'ALL GON MAKE LOSE MY MIND
>>
>>220850990
The concept of "backrooms" only works in first person. Watching someone else wander through liminal spaces just removes the triggers that induce that very particular fear.
>>
>>220852037
Kek. The negro’s two worst fears-employment and peace and quiet-rolled into one
>>
>>220861781
>Thr concept involves and started with monsters
No it didn't. The concept came from BEFORE 2019.
>>
>>220860197
>unnerving
Were you on the SA megathreads too?
