Around the time of Rise of Skywalker I said doing a complete second take on the sequels (or reset via time travel) would've potentially been too controversial for the people who like the sequels...but now 10+ years removed from TFA it's fairly obvious there isn't going to be a sequel re-evaluation like there was with the prequels. I'd say do a couple more years of no new movies and come back with a reset/reboot.
