The Last Jedi killed Star Wars.
Alright, but you gotta get over it.
just as it was meant to
>>220855108Star Wars was already dead when Disney bought it. It just took until TLJ for most people to realize they were pulling a Weekend at Bernies with its corpse.
Not Backrooms (2026) related. Down voted.
>>220855108Has Star Wars the original trilogy been mind raping leftist commie faggots for 40 years since it came outI never knew the indescribable damage this was doing in their minds rent freeThey really bided their time for 40 fucking years to get their chance to deconstruct and subvert it
>>220855314Shut up, Rian
It did. But it was also the most interesting of the nu-trilogy in a way. In hindsight everything after it sucked. Mando season 1 was just ok and you thought "maybe this is the floor and they can actually tell interesting high budget stories". Then they immediately went and blew their wade with deepfake luke, which even that in hindsight is better than the filoni-verse.>inb4 andorIt's fine. Very overrated but enjoyable first season and then a boring forgettable slog already in the second.

>>220855446Is it weird to be nostalgic for a gif?
It’s one of the first big “culture war” experiences for me I think. Where people will defend it to the death because the “wrong people” hated it.Even objectively speaking it doesn’t matter if they personally liked it, or think critics liked it so it’s good. The force awakens was bland and inoffensive. And obviously 3 movies in a trilogy like that would have been dogshit. But the last Jedi took every started plot and ripped it to shreds. The only one that actually remained was kylo being a villain. With Carrie fisher dying also ruining any plans for that (after she died I would have just let her die in last Jedi rather than looking goofy to use the force and survive)I think what bothered me at the time about the last Jedi, and I can’t really remember because I don’t care any more about Star Wars, but I think it was how it wanted to make these “statements” that ultimately meant nothing. Why was Rey being a nobody a revelation to her? In story it makes no sense to be some orphan and assume your parents must be important. On a meta level it makes no sense because “wow a random nobody can be a force wielder” isn’t a revelation. Not to the audience nor to the characters aware of the force. So what the fuck was the point
>>220855108The Force Awakens isn’t blameless. They could have made the best 2 movies ever after that and it still would have began with Han and Luke fucking off after everything they accomplished was reverted by Kylo.
>>220855108>The Last Jedi killed Star WarsNo, this did.
>>220855108>>220855300great, now that we're all agreed we can stop talking about it forever
>>220855108 Everything from The Force Awakens killed Star Wars. This makes most of us sad but it’s not the tragedy it’s made out to be. Every story ends and the refusal to accept that is behind all of the terrible zombie projects out there year after year. It’s good that Star Wars died. Let it rot.

>>220855580disney is going to removee the sequels from cannon, srry bud
lucas' special editions killed star wars
>>220855108Disney fixes the franchise and wins back old fans by doing these things:1) Restore and release the non-SE cuts of the OT.2) Recanonize the EU.3) Decanonize the ST and Disney+ shows.4) Begin production of Shadows of the Empire.Seriously, it's the only way out of the hole they dug.
>>220855108Good. It was a shit franchise that needed to die.
>>220855710that should have been the plan from the very beginning. Just recast younger actors for the main characters and start adapting some of the more popular EU storylines. Ditching an already well established timeline with tons of potential ideas to pick from was such a bad choice
>>220855108It's the worst Star Wars ever, even worse than the Christmas Special filled with wookie grunts and bestiality, but Star Wars is now doing great despite it.
>>220855108For me it definitely did. That and that horrific Marvel Star Wars comic run of Darth Vader. Haven't watched or read a single Star Wars related thing since and I never will.
>>220856055There's a reason people only ever post the cut out kek, the full shot looks like absolute garbage.
>>220855108Kinda wonder how Hamill felt when doing this scene, it was literally a huge middle finger to old fans and Luke
>>220855710>Restore and release the non-SE cuts of the OT.This is such low hanging fruit and guaranteed huge sales, it boggles my mind that Disney has made zero effort to do this.
>>220855108The prequels killed Star Wars. Unironically.
>>220855108it was character assassination. they turned him from a hero into a whiny bitter old man. his personality was different. should have been the same, maybe he would have outshined the stars

>>220855108I stopped watching star wars after the terrible fourth movie came out.

I still cant believe how jarring the casino sidequest was, and telling the audience that ACTHUALLY RICH PEOPLE ARE WORSE THAN THE SPACE NAZIS and essentially making a mess/destroying things is how you stick it to rich peopleIt was so fucking petty and infantile it had to be a commentary on what Rian was doing to the franchise
>>220856123I've heard a decent argument for the opposite. That Luke was never meant to be an overwhelmingly powerful force, and that the only thing he really proved during the OT was that he was willing to do the right thing, which lead him to succeed where Anakin failed. He was never meant to be a master jedi, which is why in the scene where he's holding back the walkers or whatever, it's actually a hologram, or illusion of this badass character that he was never actually meant to be portrayed as
>>220855520>what the fuck was the pointCash grabHumiliation
I love how he put a pink haired middle management lady in the movie to talk down to the most likeable character from TFA Im sure the intention was for everyone in the audience to remember all the positive interactions they've had with pink haired middle management ladies throughout their lives
>>220855401Lmao back then it was the aging hippies and pot smoking teens who liked it. Conservatives thought it was stupid as hell
>>220858137that's just not true, if there was a culture war around it, it would've never been as popular as it wasstar wars was a cultural phenomenon and part of the cultural zeitgeist that spanned all ages and demographics

>>220855401Are you retarded
>>220858201Back then there were no conservatives in the cultural zeitgeist. It was post watergate and pre-Iran hostage crisis, the absolute nadir of conservatism in the 20th century. The Reagan 80s where 49 states voted red was the pendulum swinging the other way. If you could travel back in time and talk to every random normalfag under 40 back then you would struggle to find a conservative.

>>220855549>>220855526>>220855607>>220855580The Force Awakens was a terrible mistake but you can imagine a parallel timeline where JJ or some other corporate drone continued the trilogy in the blandest, most memberberries-filled way possible without killing the entire setup halfway through, also without waging open wars against what was probably the biggest manchild fanbase out there. It's easy to imagine a scenario where Star Wars survives in a zombiefied (but still pop-culturally relevant) form, because it's honestly hard to imagine a world where Star Wars is pretty much a dead franchise with 0 interest beside some people still shitting on it.But that's the world we live in.Absolutely insane

>>220855108No, The Phantom Menace killed Star Wars (you stupid braindead prequeltranny).
>>220855108Yes
>>220855108He's in his Mae West Sextette era.
>>220858458You’ve got to be a fucking zoomer lmao. Conservatives back then were all culturally irrelevant old people. Back then things could be popular with literally only a young liberal demographic and be cultural milestones bigger than anything you see today.
>>220855108The Disney buyout killed Star Wars. Last Jedi just did the final blow.Disney needs to learn from the Prequels and go on a 4 year hiatus with no new media, before dumping out a tv show for kids and regrow the brand from there like CW did with the Prequels. Right now Star Wars is just uncool.
>>220855108Nah it was filonislop
>>220858558
>>220858621go take a nap, niggerand settle down, stop beating your new generational meme to death, fag
>>220858481George Lucas at least knew that at it's core, Star Wars was for kids and if you want Star Wars to do well, you need to make kids think it's cool. The core problem with the sequels and the live-action shows is that it fundamentally made star wars uncool for the people who grew up thinking Prequels/Clone Wars was cool and the kids who came after who are the most online, even further turned off by trying to be memberberries for shit they're not even nostalgic for. How do you sell kids on nostalgia for which they do not hold? That's the fundamental flaw of the sequels Disney made and Fillioni's glup shitto cinematic universe
>>220858732Star wars was never just for kids but all ages and demographics, it's so pathetic how easily you switch from one shill dialogue tree to the next once you get your dick beaten in defending the indefensible, fuck off shill nigger
>>220858706I’m just pointing out how completely ass backwards retarded it is to believe that liberals of the 70s disliked Star Wars more than conservatives of the time did. It’s a total inversion of reality.

>>220855368Yeah it was the nail in the coffin. The forgotten Clone Wars movie with the super gay New Orleans hutt killed any hope I had for the future of the franchise
>>220859024prequel toys were lame, nobody bought themthis is a sequels thread, you shills can't help but try to make into a dick sucking prequels faggot circlejerk, get a new script, faggots
>>220859053I was born in '79, I'm an original trilogy shill. Our toys and spin offs were amazing. The prequels were OK, great for memes once the internet took off and look much better now next to the sequels than we thought of them back then. I saw PM at the midnight opening screening, I stopped the watching sequels during the second movie that I pirated and watched at home and never went back to finish.
>>220855368If they'd gone all in on adapting the EU sequel books they might've at least done alright with the older demographic who were still fans. Could've moved it into a Jedi Academy series reboot with Han and Leia's kids after the memberberry sequels.Instead we got girlboss slop and no coherent story and now the franchise is if not dead on life support and about to get its organs harvested.
Nah TCW did that by retconning the Prequels George is a hack and doesnt deserve to be worshipped he and Filoni ruined Star Wars before Disney
>>220859223this is such a slimy false narrative, if it wasn't for lucas and filoni rehabing the franchise with the clone wars cartoon, there would be no disney buyout just because you didn't like what they did, doesn't mean they ruined star wars, they brought the fans back and made people care and want more of it's media it's so fucking stupid to say shit like this, can't tell if your autistically retarded or just trolling
>>220855461Reminds me of how Rogue One cut the trailer line where whatsherface says>we're the rebels, we rebel, it's what we door some such. Wonder if they did it because it runs counter to the entire message of TLJ or just because it's a stupid fucking line
>>220856123Shortly after release I seem to remember Hamill making a few posts or interviews where he complained about how Luke was treated in TLJ, but the hush money check must have cleared shortly afterwards because he never said anything about it afterwards and spent all his time crying about politics instead.
>>220859287TCW was always fucking crap a glorified fanfiction like Anakin having a Padawan or Darth Maul returning from the dead George was always terrible the original Prequels are good by accident but George ruined it with TCW trying to please the Boomers

>>220858021It's even stupider when taken in context of the overall plot of the movie.>resistance are stuck on their fleet until they run out of gas>admiral tumblrhair's genius secret plan is to just bail once they get near a planet and hope the bad guys pass them by without thinking "hey maybe they fled to this one planet in the middle of nowhere">rendered entirely pointless since Finn and the chubby asian can just up and leave in the middle of the slowest chase scene in historyIf they were going to abandon the fleet from the start, why not do it when they left? Why not just load everyone onto the shuttles and hyperspace the fuck out? Nobody was going to stop them.
>>220859053Plenty of people bought Darth Maul lightsabers and toys but nobody was buying Captain Tanaka or Sio Bibble action figures. The video games from that era were pretty damn good, on the other hand.
>>220859052I never bothered watching a single episode of TCW because that fucking movie tainted it for me. Ahsoka was the most annoying cunt in that shit too, I still don't see the appeal other than "uooooh orange padawan erotic".
>>220855520>So what the fuck was the pointSubverting Joseph Campbell's Monomyth. In the Hero's Journey the hero comes from circumstances that are at the very least unusual and they're supposed to have parents that are in some way unusual. Going against this is going against literal thousands of years of storytelling across cultures. But the way I see it, if every hero comes from unusual circumstances, then that means it is usual for a hero to come from unusual circumstances, and therefore a hero coming from usual circumstances is unusual.
>>220855520>>220859434"You are not the chosen one, but save the day anyway" is a badass concept. They just did it in the gayest, lamest way possible.
>>220859346It was a better telling of Anakin's fall to the darkside than the prequel movies shit out
>>220859384Doubt, no one cared about a mute character that had less than five minutes of screen time, just because he looked cool you think you can use it to rewrite history to win an internet argumentmost people are npc's but even back then they're not carrying that weight for a soulless character with no story like maul
>>220859405It's definitely as gay as it sounds but I remember being in the theater and realizing this thing I've loved since childhood was dead
>>220855520>>220859473Except it turned out she actually wasn't a nobody because she was a Palpatine so that whole "you're nobody" thing was meaningless anyway. And you can say, well, Rian Johnson didn't have that in mind, so maybe it's okay within the context of TLJ. But that's a big problem with these movies too (one of many), they went into the trilogy with no plan at all, the directors had no idea what they were building towards. It's utterly baffling to me that they didn't just sit down at the beginning, hire one director for the whole thing, and write a rough outline of the story beats for the whole trilogy. Like, the movies probably still would have sucked, but really, I can't understand why they just winged it.
>>220855401>Has Star Wars the original trilogy been mind raping leftist commie faggots for 40 years since it came outThey championed it as an allegory for globalism and diversity and like to refer to it. I'm not joking.
>>220855461The fucking mental gymnastics dumbasses were doing to defend that plot line were egregious. She got a shit tin of people killed because of her super secret plan that had no reason to ge secret at all. Only shitty leaders withhold information from their key officers for no reason.
>>220855108Correct.
>>220855461>>220860370Genuinely, what was going on here, writing-wise? Was it actual propaganda? "You should blindly follow leadership?" Was it a cut plotline that they refuse to admit?
>>220855108Disney killed Star Wars, and now Star Wars is dead and dead.
>>220860423The whole point was to tell men to never question women. I doubt Rian Johnson wrote that plot. The whole thing was some angry fat feminist using Star Wars as a vehicle to rage against men. Why is the admiral wearing purple hair and a dress on a combat vessel? Why does she exist at all when Leia is right there?

>>220855108Anyone else remember those random newscasters having little breakdowns on live tv? It was fucking fascinating, all these different people basically having their respective “The Emperor has no clothes” moments, all looking at the other newscasters like they were realizing they were the only sane person in the room. It was pure kino. The one I remember best came out of Canada, I think.
>>220860581I remember that guy from collider having a meltdown about busting his ass being a fan and ultimately killing their show.
>>220860564TFA was slop. But it was normie slop. TLJ was the movie where the multi-billionaire dollar corporation called you a sexist, racist, right-winger if you didn't like the movie. The amount of damage that did cost the company countless, countless billions. Imagine walking out of The Last Jedi, and saying "I didn't like how they handled Luke," and freaks instantly accusing you of being a Trump supporter because of that. Total normie alienation from thereon out.
>>220860650tfa broke the universe permanently. it just took the rest of you dumb fucks a few years to catch on. i didnt need to walk out of the last jedi because i never returned to the cinema. despite that i still spent years arguing with shills and trannies on here and was a highly active participant in the /reylo/ wars.
>>220860714TFA broke the "universe." TLJ broke the audience. You don't get it. TLJ was this massive fucking autistic culture war that Disney just... allowed to happen, for some reason. Their PR didn't instantly shut everyone the fuck up. Instead they instigated it. "Didn't like this shit? You're a chud." They could have kept the movie exactly as it was if they just stayed quite, or even casually went, "oh yeah, maybe we missed the mark on a few things." Star Wars might be around today if they did.
>>220860763>TFA broke the "universe." TLJ broke the audience. Also sorry, I don't like how I phrased that. That's some chatGPT-ass phrasing.
>>220860714this was me, there was so much wrong with awakens, i didn't need to see more
>>220860650they were doing that from the moment the reaction to fin's big african head, lips and nose was crammed into everyone's screen, it's like they purposely were seeking out a reaction like that
>>220856123He's salty as fuck about it now but he still took the check and did the movie so fuck him.
>>220860650>TFA was slop. But it was normie slopNo, this anon is right -->>220860714Disney killed Star Wars with TFA. The pre-release marketing hype was off the charts and went on for months. Disney built up TFA so much, and then it turned out to be nothing but a remake of Star Wars 1977 with a very female-centric theme. TFA ended the movie by hyping TLJ withe the promise of Luke Skywalker, and then TLJ did Luke very dirty.
>>220855108I once posted here that I considered The Last Jedi to be less shitty than The Force Awakens. When I made that post, I misremembered the Luke alien milking scene being in TFA, when it was actually in TLJ. So I apologize for making that post. The Last Jedi is worse than The Force Awakens, a giant middle finger to Star Wars fans... hell, that scene felt like it would have been a "fuck you" to the audience even if they had somehow never heard of Star Wars.
Nu-Wars was fucked from the outset. A new trilogy with 3 different directors each doing a different movie with full creative control and no unifying outline to follow was just a complete disaster waiting to happen. They let Abrams do his faggot mystery box shit and then let Johnson close the box and burn it leaving literally nothing for a third movie to the point the guy they originally set up to direct said fuck it. Shit was a clusterfuck from Day 0.
>>220860914If TFA was followed up with another TFA-like, normies would've eaten it up fine. TLJ was subversive slop that was spiritually corrupt and dark. It DARED you to be mad at it, and if you got mad at it, it laughed at you. If TFA was a person, it'd be a special ed kid who didn't know how dumb he was. TLJ would be the sociopath in class you needed to keep an eye on.
>>220855108>>220860920Also, while I never gave a shit about movie critic opinions, The Last Jedi has a higher Rotten Tomatoes critic score than Shrek (and Shrek 2). Yeah. It's fucking ridiculous.
>>220855108The Farce Awakens was worse.
>>220860977TLJ is the faggy kid in class wearing trip pants talking about how messed up their mind is when they come from a stable two parent house hold. It's fucking up it's easy life for no reason other than to be different.
>>220855108I will never forget how /tv/ was when this frachise killer came out. I remember the premiere night, the board with swarmed with shills desperate to control the narrative to the point they were actually denying some of the stuff in the movie. Threads were hitting bump limit in 10 minutes, they were frantic trying to save the Leia in space garbage scene, saying it made sense in the context of the movie, and then some BVLL actually recorded the scene and posted the webm in the threads. That day Disney was defeated forever. They've been a corpse ever since, they've basically given up on streaming, they gave up on star wars, marvel is dead too, they lost right there when some incel posted the Leia in space scene and like a thousand dudes made fun of them all night long. It was beautiful, peak /tv/ even

lol
TFA did. It's just not Star Wars without George Lucas overseeing it.
>>220863019He signed on when George was going to make them. These idiots act like he signed off on how they treated Luke instead of being locked in to 3 movies beforehand. >>220855108Nah the force awakens killed it. The second the story was going to be girl luke blows up the third death star it was fucking over. George is goofy as hell, but at least he had an actual idea of what he wanted to create, the desperation of the JJ movies is so embarrassing. TLJ being somewhat hostile to the previous movie, and then RoS being openly hostile to TLJ is actually baffling though, it's insane that they seemed to have literally zero plan for the three movies, not even like a single paragraph outline for where they should go

>>220860527>Why is the admiral wearing purple hair and a dress on a combat vessel? You'll be fascinated to find out the answer.>I thought when I read the script that Holdo would be wearing a uniform, so I did some uniform designs and showed them to Rian and he said, “Oh no, no, no, no. She’s flirting with Oscar Isaacs’ character, I don’t want her to be in a uniform, I want her to be unique and almost balletic.” He said, “I’d like to see her body and her body language, and her silhouette, and have her be more feminine.” So I started thinking about feminine balletic design, and something kind of Greek, which made me start thinking about jersey, and then I started thinking about Madame Gres. So that’s where that came from.

am i the only one who thinks they did have a semi plan and that was Black Luke, Feminist Han, Luke as Obi but someone said hell no you arent making the lead black. Feels like it was Teed up for Boyega to be a jedi and Rey to be a Han, but someone overruled and we got a Rey as luke and discarded yelling Boyega instead. Feels so haphazardly put together
>>220865135Rey was always going to be the jedi, even back when her original name was Kira.As for Finn, well, just look at his concept art.
>>220865202yeah so its probably more so disney wanting every benefit of every character in each new character with no flaws. Shame Rey peaks at her intro too. There is genuinely no reason to revisit this trilogy, at least GoT cant undo season 1
Alright anon, so how would YOU fix TLJ? Keep in mind you HAVE to follow after what JJ did in TFA, and have to stick to the structure of the movie as much as possible, so no instantly killing Rey or Finn or lazy stuff like that

>>220858528He isn't. Read it again, slowly.
Let's be honest. The decision to remake A New Hope instead of making a sequel killed Star Wars. The Last Jedi was worse than The Force Awakens, but every idea behind The Force Awakens set up the sequel trilogy for failure. >lets remake A New Hope even though it doesn't make sense>lets undo everything that happened in the original trilogy >lets make new Darth Vader an ugly incel who has temper tantrums>lets make our new protagonist a mary sue >lets only show Luke in the final second of the film as a cliffhanger (what could go wrong?) >lets not have any romantic subplot at all >JJ Abrams mystery box shit
>>220865285anon, TLJ is a definitive end to whatever story they wanted to tell. That is literally the issue. You pick the fumble and remove it and youre fine.Luke tossing lightsaberlightspeed kamikazekilling snokeRJ>Let's be honest. The decision to remake A New Hope instead of making a sequel killed Star Wars.i agree but look, i think that conclusion only comes after watchiung TLJ. Like TLJ is so bad just cant help but think, we had no hope from TFA "the more i think about it"
>>220865285Let's go character by character:>FinnInstead of completely brushing off his lightsaber wounds from the first movie for a funny comedy scene where he leaks goop all over the floor, take them seriously. Finn has been crippled by Kylo's saber, and now requires some sort of prosthetic plates on his spine and legs to move around. This, of course, still allows him to move and run around when the situation demands for it, but they're unwieldy and bulky (still look cool, and spice up his otherwise boring design) but, more importantly, they symbolize that he has now bled and suffered for the cause, and the reality that him switching sides might have permanently crippled him makes him waver on his commitment to the Resistance. This would be his 'thing' in this movie, because he knows that if he goes back to the First Order, their superior tech and resources could heal him much better, or at least give him better prosthetics. This comes to a resolution during his confrontation with Phasma at the end: Phasma ALSO was crippled in the first movie when they dropped her in the trash compactor, with wounds that mirror Finn's a lot, but indeed her prosthetics are much better, sleeker and less intrusive. She uses this as a point of pressure to tempt him into coming back, but ultimately he decides against it. As a cherry on top, maybe when the floor splits open, the reason Finn doesn't fall in the hole along with Phasma is because his bulky prosthetics get stuck on a piece of protruding metal, saving him and, in a way, rewarding him for his loyalty.(cont)
>>220865485lets not
>>220865485>PoeHave the reason why the FO can follow the Resistance fleet be because there's a traitor amongst their ranks. No dumb magical device, just someone secretly sending them the coordinates whenever they come off hyperspace. This way, Holdo's refusal to tell Poe anything makes a lot more sense, and his outraged reaction makes him look a lot more foolish and entitled, which I feel was the intent. The Resistance plot is now a tense 'find out who the traitor is' as Poe grows more and more annoyed that anyone would even be suspicious of him, the hero who destroyed the Starkiller base. Eventually, the actual traitor (played by the swindler guy who Finn and Rose hire at the casino planet but in a different role, the casino planet shit wouldnt happen at all) makes him come to the conclusion that Holdo is the traitor, riling up the mutiny and creating enough confusion to allow for the traitor to escape with some important data. Leia spells it out for him, making him realize what a fool he's been, and he leads the attack into the FO's mothership to get the traitor back. Also, Leia is the one who does the hyperspeed ramming attack instead of Holdo, the explanation given as to why it's even possible being that only a Force user would be able to pull it off.
>>220865592>ReyHonestly I don't have a lot of issues with her subplot in this movie until the end. I'm fine with Luke being jaded and cynical, but since Leia would be the one who dies in this movie, he would stick around for the third one to show he has grown past that and gone back to his more idealistic self. Rey still goes through her little journey of self discovery alongside Kylo, the main difference being that, at the very end, she decides to stay by his side in a sort of 'I can fix him' situation, setting up the third movie to be about why she did it. Most of the Resistance thinks her a traitor, but Finn, Poe and Luke believe that she has a plan of some sort, Poe most of all since he has recently learned to be more trusting of his allies.
>>220855108No, everyone gets it always wrong. THE REACTION to The Last Jedi killed Star Wars. It made Disney terrified of any creative risk or artistic vision which means this franchise is destined for slow death while one shallow safe slop bombs after another to the point when all the fans left will grow disillusioned or die. In a way, you did this.
TFA broke the UniverseTLJ broke the AudienceRoS broke the Franchise
>>220865673Continously playing it safe from TFA onwards would have net them a perpetual money printer. Think Marvel but people never get tired of it, if it's rolled out slowly enough. That was the power of the franchise they purchased, that is what they have bungled.

>>220866288sure but they couldve framed it differently instead of making it exact same dynamic as the OT. or given a little bit of context. I honestly didnt mind the episode of Mandalorian where they show how ex-imperial officers wormed into The New Republic, better than what was actually going on in that season
>>220866288Fair, but it probably would've gone over better if the First Order was portrayed as some Empire remnants/sympathizers who are just coming up in the political scene and, oh shit, they actually mean business and have the firepower to back it up! If I walked by a toy aisle at the store and caught a small glimpse of a vehicle or stormtrooper, I'd look away immediately. I wanted to go into the new era of StarWars with an entirely open mind, as pure as an Amish virgin. On opening night I knew there was a brown-haired female protagonist (that much was hard to avoid, even though I shielded myeyes), but little else. I didn't even know which classic characters were returning. When Boyega first took off that helmet and revealed himself to the theater, I let out an audible gasp. My entire row of filmgoers looked at me like I was nuts, but I couldn't help myself. There before me was the most Simian creature I'd ever seen in a galaxy far, far away. An intergalactic gorilla with huge flaring nigger nostrils and big Nigerian chieftain lips.Oftentimes film studios will soften the blow by casting BillyDee Williams or Will Smith... but not this time. This time you were forced to feast your eyes on a pureblooded coalblack silverback nigger, blown up forty feet high on an IMAX screen.I looked around, uncomprehendingly, as the rest of the crowd seemed to accept this monstrosity as a regular matter of course. Then it occurred to me that I was the only person who hadn't already seen months' worth of marketing materials.Little by little, they had been led to accept this by drips and drabs of commercials, trailers, and TV interviews. Their minds had been so softened that they were willing to stare unflinchingly, even giggle and smile at the niggershines, as MegaNigger (missing only a bone in his nose) besmirched the galaxy.Lots of people debate about the exact moment when Star Wars died. I contend it was when that minstrel-looking sweaty jigaboo removed his helmet and revealed his Lovecraftian face.

>>220872198Why are you conflating 'liked' with 'good' anon? >>220872259jewish pilpulanother shill tactic is saying because the force awakens made a bunch of money means it was good or well likedno, it wasn't the force awakens made it's money from nostalgia and filoni and george rehabing the franchise with the clone wars cartoon that brought the fans back to the franchise making them want more star wars media, along with the cast from the original trilogy signing on gave people confidence there was no way they could fuck this up, the force awakens did not make it's money off of the merit of it being a good and well liked film and that was evident as soon as they killed han off and you realized the original cast will never reunited on screen
>>220872403You're living in an alternate reality if you thought TFA was disliked at release. People were blinded by nostalgia and they pretty lights. They loved TFA. It's only after TLJ that people really began to pick up on it's flaws and it's reception began to be revised.
>>220872403>filonilmao>the clone wars cartoonThe general public did not watch that nor did they care about it, TFA pulled the numbers it pulled because it was the first SW film in a very long time and because it was and inoffensive crowd pleaser. >>220875128Yeah you need to hire another actor, but still, it was so easyFirst, Luke's order didn't fall, ok a lot of padawan died but not everybody, they're hiding because Luke feels responsible for it and want to protect the survivors at any costThen empire remenant are around, controlled by some sith cultists formed by the emperor, they attacked Luke and kidnapped Ben to shape him as the heir of Palpatine, cold war between them and the republicThe New Republic is still here and is trying to not become a dictatorship due to the cold war, Han is a workaholic who desperately wants to find his son and take any risk for it, Leia struggles to find a balance between the well-being of the majority, her responsibility as leader of the Republic (aka not starting a new galactic scale war) and the search for her sonFinn is under Ben order and due to some shit, become Luke's padawan and both of them save Ben 1 movie Finn escape the brainwashing, Finn espace the army and find a way to the new Republic,he get captured by some secret service who saw his ship coming from a space controlled by the empire remnant or some shit, he describes/brings back something about Ben, and it goes back to Leia who asked to get every clues about her son, she senses his strength in the Force and bring him to LukeSecond movie is his training and some adventure with Han and Chewie3rd movie is them saving Ben
>>220875490Oh and they should hire a younger actor for Ben, make him like Anakin in the II aka 19 years old, NOT 32 years old retarded emo like adam driver
>>220875541>Oh and they should hire a younger actor for BenYeah, it was weird how they keep talking about Ben like he's just an itty bitty boy, but meanwhile he looks almost 40.
