Do scenes like these truly make anyone want to buy a Surface™ tablet by Microsoft®?
>>220858386definitely
No, but it makes me want to bite Lucy Liu's butt.
>>220858386My 1st gen surface pro still works okay. It's plenty fast enough for modern web browsing, kinos, and light gaymen. The real shit part is the type cover completely deteriorated and stopped working like 5-6 years ago. A replacement costs around $90 last I looked. I only paid like $150 for the whole thing in like 2016. Also the proprietary charger exploded in my hand once but you can replace those all day for like $10.
>>220858386no, but it makes me want to learn about sex offenders
>>220858386No I bought a DualShock after watching freestyler. Never had a PSX, tho
Vintage, 2004.
>>220858386Why would anyone watch a show about a sixty year old autist couple solving crimes and they're not even fucking.
How I Met Your Mother had an entire episode that was sponsored by Bing
Always found it a bit baffling that people seethed over Man of Steel having a few seconds of product placement when Superman 2 is much worse. In Donners defence the reason he did that was because the producers fucked him over and started to cut the budget/withhold it so he just went directly to the advertisers to try and inject some cash into the 1st and 2nd movie
>>220858710it’s a decent-feeling bit of hardware, my wife had one that i still have in a box somewhere; totally inadequate storage though and no longer usable. Although, maybe i could resurrect it as a home automation control panel… unless it’s ARM? cant remember
>>220862126This at least seems to have a disdain or sense of neutrality towards the brand. In OP it's filmed like an ad for the product which just makes me want to bash their brains out.
>>220858386>Windows 8Don't remind me.
>>220858386>Do scenes like these truly make anyone want to buy a Surface™ tablet by Microsoft®?No. It's about marketing and making sure people see the logo. It's brainwashing and should be illegal. Actors that partake in this shitty practice for a paycheck should be blacklisted like the commies were in the 1940s and 50s
>>220862235it doesn't matter. the brand is there. you are seeing the logo. you now associate logo with product. that's all that matters. this is why f1 teams kept getting into trouble after the tobacco company bans when marlboro were sponsoring teams through a shell corporation using a similar logo but without the name and that got banned as well.
30 Rock has a bunch of these. I just watched the Valentine's episode where Alec Murder is stuck in church with the foot from Dusk Till Dawn and the opening and closing scene is about the fucking McFlurry.By the way, if it's "played for laughs", but it's a real brand, it's not played for laughs. I see you Josie and the Pussycats. I know what you are.
>>220863395
Posting from my Microsoft Surface 7 r.n.
>>220862753calm down senator, the blacklist was also marketing. studios just sold you patriotism instead of tablets. at least with the Surface you know you're being advertised to because the scene stops dead for 12 seconds while Watson rotates the kickstand like it's the fucking monolith.
I like the subtle ones
I've been using a surface pro since 2016 instead of a laptop. I upgraded it with a newer model in 2020 and 2024. I don't think I can go back to using a laptop.
In the thumbnail is the Michael Stipe resemblance on purpose?
>>220858386
this was brilliantly done i barely noticed
>>220858386any sony movie
I believe this disaster is the be-all, end-all of product placement outside of outright satire:>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQYwFND7rHE
>>220858386It was sad how in the last two seasons, Lucy stopped wearing short skirts.
Eureka on Sci-fi had a 30 second Subaru commercial where characters were driving the car and discussing its safety, features and styling. They also had an entire episode about Sure deodorant. I stopped watching after that one.
>>220865398A lot of shows from the 2000s to 2010s had some really blatant car product placement. Look for any scenes where a car looks suspiciously clean or well-lit in shows from that era. You'll probably see something relating to the placement in the credits of any episode that does that.
>>220865467Yeah I would see that all the time but this was way beyond that. I thought the show had gone to a commercial break it was so bad.
>>220862792It does matter, in the contracts involving product placement there are extensive rules and directions on how to use their product, and not adhering to those can result in litigation. For example, Marky Mark was told he had to take a swig of beer here, which is why he attempts to drink pure foam here.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIVKQV0sJ-8&t=10s
>>220865255>2026>he doesnt bing it
>>220862075Was this the only time anyone ever used Bing maps?
https://youtube.com/watch?v=oDe9_c8QAM0They do this about 8 more times over the whole series, each time about something prius-related.
>>220865255i used to get subway all the time but now they're all run by indians for some reason
>>220864958god that show was a breath of fresh air when it came out. turned to tired shit way too fast, unfortunately.
>>220865894I don't know how subway is still in business. It's fucking gross.Firehouse and Jersey Mike's are infinitely better.
