why would weyland yutani make an android like this?
>>
Someone has to pick the wheat
>>
DEI quota
>>
an autistic android would be good. he could hyperfocus on his job.

To live out their fantasies about CSA
>>
>>220865519
It's like in a game when you press "random" during character creation.
>>
this dude was one of the good parts of the movie
>>
>>220865519
so they dont have to genetically engineer humans with black goo to be more resilient
wait
>>
>>220865519
They model their androids after actual humans that exist(ed). Why they picked him we dont know. Might be the same reason in-universe like why the actor was chosen
>>
>>220866417
so where's the real david?
>>
>>220866319
you mean the only good part of the movie.
>>
>>220865519
Why wouldn’t they make androids of different ethnicity?
>>
>>220866694
They're ugly.
>>
>>220866694
why are you such a chud? i'm talking about how he's autistic.
>>
why would weyland yutani make an android with a hairline like this?

>>220866804
why didn't they just put him in the movie

>>220866804
cause it looks cool. he's got boyd crowder style.
>>
If you were choosing an android then why wouldn't you pick one that's pleasant to look upon?
>>
>>220866976
Obviously to prevent people reprogramming them for sex-stuff.
>>
>>220866319
He is. He’s also the best thing in The Long Walk. Predictably he’s British, which is often the case when you notice somebody in a Hollywood film who can act.
>>
>>220865519
Would never happen in reality. You will have to be able to recognise a robot by sight. Not doing that is just asking for trouble
>>
I like Cailee Spaeny's big brapper
>>
>>220867066
the entire point of a lot of them is to blend in and spy for the company.
>>
>>220867096
which will absolutely happen in real life, i forgot to add.
>>
>>220867096
Nah, it will be like the human cloning laws. When the first company even gets close it will become illegal and the first company caught will be made an example of so badly that no one will ever try it again
>>
>>220867380
yeah companies are famously following laws all the time. your phone is already spying on you, if they want to make undetectable robots they will.
>>
>>220867406
That's because most laws have no real consequences for companies. If the company's management and anyone with knowledge of the creation all went to jail for life over it you can be sure no one would even entertain the thought
>>
>>220865519
This movie lacks a scene of the main chick doing things in tiny underwear, and for that reason, I find the movie to be a failure.
>>
>>220866319
True. His heel turn was extremely fun, too.

>>220866715
He’s broken.
>>
>>220867623
we could posit that even if the movie had that scene, as a modern woman who's been psyopped to buy razors, she would very likely not have a bush peeking out of the panties, making it partly a failure anyway.
>>
>>220867034
he's clearly a dindu not a Brit
>>
>>220866976
You'd want a robot to be low status and disposable so it didn't seem superior to humans and nobody became emotionally attached to it
>>
>>220867096
Aliens and Prometheus seemingly made it canon that every deep space journey has an onboard android member of the crew to monitor things while the human crew is in cryo.
>>
>>220867729
Moner or Cailee in panties would’ve been kino nonetheless.
>>
>>220867798
the entire point of androids in the setting is to be corporate spies. they already have cheap labour with excess humans. they just work humans to death and don't care, and replace them.
>>
You need to be able to send it into hazardous environments without feeling bad for it.
>>
>>220866715
Did you even watch the movie? They explain it. Andy is an old, discarded android that was reprogrammed by the main character’s dad with the limited resources he had at his disposal so it frequently malfunctions and needs a reboot. It’s literally a plot point.
>>
I want a movie thats all about working class people in space like the intro of this.
