Where does the idea of Tywin being hyper competent come from? We no fuck all of substance about him actually being a good administrator beyond what is really just the assertion he was a good Hand of the King. As a battlefield commander what does he actually have to his name? He outnumbered the Reynes. He sacked King's Landing due to Pycelle getting the gates open. Lannisport burns under his watch. What exactly is Tywin's plan if Robert demands he stands down when he invades the Riverlands?
