What do you think of these Westerns?

>Unforgiven
>Tombstone
>Bone Tomehawk

In the mood for one but haven't seen either of those supposedly good modern-ish titles
>>
I wholeheartedly endorse Tombstone for your Sunday movie, my good lady.

midslop

Tombstone is not a good movie. It has some great scenes, but all together its just kinda shit
Bone Tomehawk is fun, but I guess more of a horror
Unforgiven is kino
>>
Unforgiven is a masterpiece, Tombstone a really enjoyable romp. Amazing cast in both.3:10 to Yuma id like to add as a great update to a classic with another amazing cast.

90s westerns just feel wrong. Any western made after the early 70s just doesn't feel right to me.

Unforgivem
>Best Western of All Time (probably Clint's best work.) 10/10
Tombstone
>90's blockbuster slop, (glorious decadent production) 8/10
>BT
Meme movie, boring as fuck and overhyped by teenagers like the rest of the director's movies
>3/10 (fuck ass travel movie with dogshit dialogue and 30 seconds of gore at the end)
>>
>>220870060
Unforgiven is indeed a masterpiece, but it’s not light viewing for a comfy Sunday afternoon.

Bone Tomahawk isnt really heavy, it’s kind of in the middle. It’s simple and surprisingly fun, just with a few flashes of shocking gore. It has some intricate subtext, but it’s secondary. But the nasty parts sure are nasty. The film is easy to swallow but hard to chew on, or perhaps the other way around.

I would go with Tombstone for a relaxing Sunday afternoon personally.

I like them
>>
>>220870204
you should be shot for being a faggot contrarian retard who nobody likes or has any respect for.
>>
>>220870060
*ahem*
FUCK TOMBSTONE! Shitty pacing and editing. That annoying ass bitch in the picnic scene. Who was the antagonist really? He did nothing. The bloody hands in the rain scene is high school tier in acting and execution (love Russell but geez this was trash). And the NOOOOOO scene (love Russell but this was shit). I wish I turned the movie off at the picnic scene. Kilmer was great though.
>>
>>220871032
literally which part of this post is contrarian, retard?
>>
>>220870204
Bone Tomahawk is fucking retarded
>>
Just watch YG AND YG2
>>
Westerns are all boomer slop
None of them are good
>>
What is the best western made after 2020?
>>
The problem with Tombstone is that the story itself is a complete bore. The shootout at the O.K. corral and the subsequent 'cowboy wars' were such uneventful nothingburgers that it really makes you wonder if the wild west was really so uneventful that a trivial incident like that became the stuff of legends.
>>
>>220870060

Unforgiven is still the best western that ever was. It simply can not be topped.
>>
>>220871339
the problem with tombstone is that every time val kilmer is not on screen, the movie is pure dogshit
also, half of the movie is fucking soao opera tier family drama
and its easily one of the top5 movies with worst pacing ive ever seen
>>
>>220870060
>Unforgiven
Good performances.
>Tombstone
Boring.
>Bone Tomehawk
Actually really good.
Surprised there's so much consensus ITT, especially about tombstone.
>>
>>220871574
>Tombstone
>Boring
t. Zoomer with a shit attention span

>The Dollars Trilogy happened 60 years ago and somehow, someway no one has been able to make something with the same vibes nearly as good ever since. Similarly to Mad Max 2.
when will this ride end?
>>
>>220871251
Rust.
>>
>>220871339
>if the wild west was really so uneventful
It was. Majority of famous gunslingers had 1-2 confirmed kills at most.
>>
>>220871460
How many westerns have you seen?
>>
>>220871339
Stop watching anime, you fucking retard. The real world isn't like Gundam or Attack on Titan.
>>
>>220871497
Nonsense. The parts with Michael Biehn and Powers Booth were great.
>>
>>220871339
there are many 'civilized' places in the world right now where you can easily get into a fight on the street, sometimes to the death, for simply walking around, and you really think the wild west must have been uneventful, let alone a boring setting for drama and action? The real problem is movies never reaching their true potential
>>
>>220871938
Those places have 1000x population density.
>>
Tombstone is good until the shooting starts. I liked Bone Tomahawk but I think the ending cheapens the whole thing. Unforgiven is the best of the three but the least fun to watch.
>>
>>220870343
>Pussy nazi LARP'er pretending he's Clint
christ almighty, someone put this retard out of his misery
>>
once upon a time in the west is my personal favorite, of the three mentioned tombstone is a 2/5 white the others were good watches
>>
>>220871818

Not all of them but enough to know i´m right.
>>
>>220870060
>unforgiven
fine, ideally you should watch like 5+ great westerns to get a feel what it did differently, where the contrast is, etc

>tombstone
6/10, don't remember much, I don't see it as a true classic, more as a summer block buster type of thing of its time

>bone tomahawk
I liked the journey up until they got caught
