Wasteland status?

Is that bad?

>In April 2025, Deadline Hollywood calculated the film lost the studio $119.6 million, when factoring together all expenses and revenues.
>>
Mad Max is the dumbest franchise in hollywood. Not even that popular but was made to seem like it was an iconic franchise. I've only met 2 people who genuinely like mad max.
>>
>>220870068
who gives a fuck the film was great
pocket watching is not valid cinema critique faggot
>>
>>220870068
Despite all its flaws, and fundamentally disliking it for being a Mad Max movie without Max or Mel, I liked it. I am glad it flopped though because I don't want anymore MM movies without Mel as Max.
Also the director originally wanted a nog to play Jack because of course.

>Fury Road already barely made back its budget and may have even lost money.
>Make a follow-up film nearly a decade later without the titular character and still give it a huge budget.
Genuinely, what the fuck were they thinking? There was no world in which this movie succeeded no matter how good it was.
>>
Didn’t Australia fund the majority of the budget or some shit? I forget but I know the studio barely lost any money from it
>>
>>220870068
this caused Ya Boi Zack to completely lose his mind
>>

It was fucking dog shit and you should be euthanized for being an absolute retard
>>

Fury Road was a massive precursor to WOKE faggotry in hollywood / the world. This is how you know the elite are connected and have an agenda we can only get a glimpse of.
>>
>>220870220
The first Mad Max was ridiculously profitable is why
>>
>>220870983
My friend really likes the movie and defends things he likes and will even argue stuff is actually anti-woke that's clearly not. He said Fury Road wasn't because Max wins against Furiosa in the fight. I would say he doesn't. She programs the truck in only a way she understands which leaves him helpless without her. He also needed her to take off the cuck mask for him. She was the one in control of that situation imo.
>>
>>220870220
Name a better franchise, even 3 was pretty good

>She programs the truck in only a way she understands
You do know kill switches are a real thing that exists now, right?
>>

>2015
>precursor to woke

Eternally year 0 for you retards. In 10 years you'll be bitching about some slop that came out this year as being the start of it all.

I think what set Zack off was Critical Drinker complaining about his Rambo comic being late.
>>
>>220870910
what part of it?
>>
can we all admit now that Fury Road was a super mediocre movie, and it failed to cultivate a long term fanbase?
>>
>>220870068
I liked it well enough, probably came out way to late after fury road.
I don't know who was really asking for a furiosa prequel, I understand he had a lot of world building and shit in a drawer he wanted to get on screen, but my favorite part of the mad max movies is that there's no real continuity and each story is just another story in a string of legends.
And making a direct prequel is always a a risky move because you already know these characters and where their stories end, so if anything happening in the prequel were really that important then you probably should have started the story there in the first place.
Also, who the fuck names a little girl 'Furiosa'?
I get that as a name given to you as an imperator or some wasteland warlord, but not as a name you give a cute little girl living in an oasis.
>>
>>220871806
No.
>>
>>220871918
so why didn't you see the sequel?
>>
>>220871898
It's because they were meant to be one movie, and then it became two movies that would release back to back, and then ten years passed by.
>>
Not even the worst Warner Bros released movie that year
>>

>its furying time
