Why is Godzilla vs hedorah such a weird movie ?

Godzilla Vs Mechagodzilla and Godzilla 1999

I really need to watch more Godzilla movies. I've seen a few (the original, vs. Mechagodzilla, Shin, and Minus One), but I know I'm missing a ton of "essential" ones. I've also seen the first Legendary movie and I've seen all I need to see with that slop.

Godzilla Minus One was fucking brilliant. I saw it so many times in theaters and even imported the Japanese blu-rays because I couldn't wait for a US release.
Shin Godzilla was also great.
Godzilla (2014) was not bad. It's American, so it's very different than it's meant to be, but the Japanese ripped off the concept of giant monster attacks anyway so fuck it, turnabout's fair play, it was entertaining (the sequels sucked).
I have seen many of the older Godzilla films but they all kind of blend together for me and I'd probably fuck up if I tried to name the best ones.
Pacific Rim was great. There is only one Pacific Rim movie.
Mothra is best girl.
King Kong 1933 is a must-watch. The remakes suck.
Kong: Skull Island wasn't bad though.
The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms is necessary if you are at all interested in kaiju.
