Is it worth to watch Markiplier's movie, /tv/?
>>
>>220882559
Is this a movie about Polio?
>>
Only in imax
>>
>>220882559
>Markiplier
This fucking grifter faggot, hell no.
remember when he made a YT vid fake crocodile tear crying begging his viewers for money to pay for his nieces funeral.
An already multimillionaire.
>>
>>220882630
it's their way of grieving not about saving money, also I'd imagine it would really fuck with the family dynamic
>>
I'm one hour and ten minutes in and literally nothing has happened. Markiplier is in a submarine and the camera has not left the submarine.
>>
>>220882559
out of all the eceleb/youtube movies i found it to be the weakest i even like stuckmanns movie a bit more (not a lot lol)
>>
>>220882711
So a family member just died
ayyy hol uppp
Gotta make a quick YT vid
Pretend cry
Ask for gibs

That guy is a grifting faggot. I bet he is a jew
>>
>>220882786
He's like half filipino half jew
>>
>>220882559
Bro extrapolated a whole universe out of the ball of light that warps you to the other ball of light in the iron lung game and then turned it into dead space for the last act

Great atmosphere. Poor way of conveying its story. You have to rewatch and pick apart the bits of story the dialogue gives you. You have to notice all the hidden “blink and you’ll miss it” appearances of the creature in the photos and the porthole. You have to have seen the end to know what the fucked up zombie looking motherfucker is meant to be. Hell, you have to pay attention to the first shot of the movie because that opening 10 seconds is the most important part of the whole story. Oh and you NEED to use subtitles because the monster talks with two different voices and you won’t be able to fully grasp what it wants and what it’s doing without being able to tell which of its voices are saying what.

But when you do piece it all together it’s a hell of a story. Most people won’t have the patience and I can’t blame them because there is absolutely a better way to depict the story Mark is trying to tell.

I mean this is the goyslop zombie board so yeah
>>
>>220882559
closed captions is mandatory

Text book instance of having "total creative freedom" hurt the end product. Markiplier is neither a compelling enough actor nor director to carry a claustrophobic locked-room psychological thriller. I feel like the world of the game has a lot of promise, but bafflingly they added very little in their screenplay adaption. At the end of the day, I think we all knew on some level that it was going to be a movie for Markiplier fans to gawk at the novelty of Markiplier running around doing a bit. It is funny though that Youtubers were the key to reviving the A-List boxoffice bump. Hollywood tried with Influencers in the late 20teens, but seems they just had to give it a decade for the zoomers to have disposable income (while also choosing to push less obnoxious influencers)
>>
>>220882559
Only if you like the game's concept.
>>
>>220882559
It veers in and out of feeling like a youtube video, like an amateur vibe, but it's mostly enjoyable. Can't see someone who hasn't played the game giving a fuck about it though
>>
Jacksepticeye was in this too, as Mark's best friend who gets blooded early.
>>
>>220882559
Fuck no. That shit was duller than Mitt Romney's presidential run
>>
Just finished it. Absolute shit.
>>
I didn't care for it. Felt more like a job application to be a leading man and director than it felt like a proper movie. It was bloated and slow, which I wouldn't jave minded if the payoff was something more interesting than some Event Horizon shit. I'm so over cosmic horror.
>>
>>220882559
Not really, it insists upon itself.
>>
>>220882604
Polio is fucking scary.
I know a boomer that had polio as a kid.
>>
I’m sad I missed the opportunity to watch this in theaters but I feel like the novelty is lost without it.
>>
>>220887003
Same. My uncle was visiting at the time and I had no opportunity to do what I wanted to do that month
>>
>>220882931
>NOOOOOO I CANT CHECK MY PHONE AND LOOK AT ANOTHER SCREEN FOR 67% OF THE MOVIE I ACTUALLY HAVE TO BE ENGAGED AND PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT I'M WATCHING THIS IS A LITERAL HATE CRIME!!!
total zoomer death
>>
>>220882559
I wish I had gone to this in the theater..
>>
>>220882858
Half Korean half white American of german descent but ok
>>
>>220888342
nepojew industry plant, got it
>>
>>220882559
how did this guy get so big? I remember him shouting while playing video games, absolutely inauthentic performances, beginning of youtuber slop
>>
>>220888934
>I remember him shouting while playing video games
Well, this is pretty much it. There's probably 5 people in this thread who saw this pile of shit who also spent 2+ hours watching faggots stream daily.
>>
>>220887003
To be honest, it was much better watching at home because most theatres utterly fucked up the brightness settings. It was such a dark movie in theatres. You would miss entire plot points and character deaths because you couldn’t see shit. At home it’s like finally watching the movie for the first time.
>>
I would say that it was probably the best movie interpretation of cosmic horror. But you have to like slow burn cerebral movies to enjoy it. I loved it but I can completely understand some people finding it dull.
>>
>>220882559
I wish him all success, shan't be watching.
>>
>>220882711
Bullshit

I liked it quite a bit as somebody that doesn't give a fuck about the dude that made it; i was curious about it being a videogame adaptation since i play vidya.
You can feel the "videogame" pacing which was to its detriment, lotta dull moments
People ragged on markiplier's acting a lot but it was ok
I enjoyed the decay of the ship and the look of the photographs.
Had to rewatch the literal ending of the movie the last 30 seconds as i didnt get what happened to the monster the first time.
So whatever, you probably have watched worse.
>>
>>220882604
>Is this a movie about Polio?
no but you'd rather have polio than watch this
>>
>>220888934
Like every modern jewtuber got popular, a parasocial relationship with little kids.
>>
>>220882559
Nah. The premise is fun at first but the script devolves into complete nonsense because Markiplier obviously had no idea what to write. It's like one of those cryptic youtube short films but for some reason it was stretched into a 2 hour long movie.
>>
>>220892188
i thought it was pretty clear
