The dolls can not only attack the entire town, not just colony house, but also during the day, Tabitha's flash back in this episode was during daytime. They could even attack a house at the outskirts, kill the people living there and convert them, silently if they're lucky. They can't cover the town with two spears so I'd say they're in deep shit actually.

Honestly, I am kinda disappointed everything supernatural in the forest is basically a nightmare brought to life. I really thought the cicada entity was some eldritch entity that would elegantly tie into whatever the main antagonistic force was.
