Why did people not like this? I get it’s kind of glossing over Demon In A Bottle Tony, but overall I think it’s solid
>>220895940It's much better than most of the shit from phase 4 and 5.
its funny how even the movies that were considered shit from phase 1 and 2 are better than the shit they make now
>>220895940I remember people being annoyed that the film just stops dead about half way through to set up all the SHIELD stuff, but I didn't mind. I always thought it was better to just load it all into this movie than having to either try and force smaller bits into the other movies or front load Avengers.Over-all I still really liked the movie.
>>220895940>I want MY board.
>>220896184I remember people saying that the first Captain America movie was terrible.
Great villain, and Tony’s best suit
>>220895940WAY better than shitty Iron Man 3
>>2208965163 isn’t even that bad. It’s a great character arc for Tony and I honestly liked the Trevor Slattery twist.
>>220896578He was joking about shitting up the toilet and sucking cock for drugs. And Guy Peace was a shitty villain.
>>220896611>shitty villainHow? He was perfectly set up and a devious motherfucker. And the port battle was epic
I like the electricity sound during the Monaco fight, also I miss the more practical suits. In fact I miss the more practical films in general, I think a major component to why Marvel films suck now is how much CGI gets used making the films seem completely unreal.
the fight at the end is too short
It's the Dragon Age 2 of the MCU
>>220896516>>220896578I like Kingsley's performance as Slattery, but I still don't like the twist. Iron Man 3's problem is that it is yet again just another "evil inversion of Tony" story, as well as trying to do some weird thing with Tony being addicted to making suits and then symbolically destroying all of them at the end, which makes no sense because we know he will need to make more suits to be in future films.Introducing The Mandarin was a perfect opportunity to set up the science vs magic dichotomy from the comics and probably would have helped acclimatise normie audiences to the weirder aspects of Marvel comics sooner.
>>220895940Sam Rockwell and peak Scarlett carry this movie so hard. Mickey Rourke is a hammy faggot.
>>220896795Marvel studios were too nervous to set up super cosmic/magic weird shit until Gunn blew the doors off with gotg. I don’t think they were banking on such a positive reaction, but regardless we got what we got with how much risk they were willing to take at the time. But other than fin fang foom and the real mandarin, most of Tony’s rogue gallery is definitely that “evil inversion” stuff in the comics. They also covered Tony’s re-entry back into making suits in age of Ultron and made it clear it muddied up his relationship with pepper. Him blowing his suits was more symbolic of his catharsis at the time. But you don’t stop being an alcoholic just by pouring all your bottles down the drain, and then Tony took it to the next level by trying to build ultron
>>220895940I know people that hated it for setting up people for Avengers but I always thought it was good at having the supporting characters in superhero stories be other superheroes.
>>220896509>I remember people saying that the first Captain America movie was terrible. Those were DCfaggots and roundly ignored. The shit Snyderverse never coming close to the #1 cape film in any given year did a number on them. (usually they couldn't even get the #2 spot).
>>220895940It wasn't as good as the first one and set the tone for capeslop to come with multiple CGI villains.
>>220896902Mandarin is some ethnic lark out of Venture Brothers, and Fin Fang Foom is a giant kaiju with purple underpants.
>>220897005Iron Man 2 is my favorite Iron Man movie.2 > 1 > Spider-Man Homecoming > 3
>>220897005The only CGI villain was armored Vanko and his armored drones. You're thinking of Spider-Man 3.
>>220897009Thank you for the venture bros reference
