No, but maybe his two dozens regular viewers do.

I've made this observation myself, and it hasn't been commented on enough. One of the greatest merits of Trump's political career is that he has not just once, but twice over defended the highest chair from ever yet being occupied by a woman. The American people, women included, still retain a certain instinct against this, but it'll happen eventually.

There was a possibility suggested during the period of Biden being forced out that he might resign (or have his hand forced), thereby officially making Kamala president for a non-zero period of time (incumbency is always helpful in any election, even under such ridiculous theoretical circumstances), but this didn't materialize. Lots of mutual hatred and resentment among Biden, Obama (the architect of getting Biden to bow out) and Kamala, I'm sure. It often happens that presidents and vice presidents don't like each other personally, since they're both ambitious, high-status persons.

This is the most baffling thing. I do not like Trump at all and have really soured on him this term but for all the talk about how critical it was he be defeated, I cannot believe the people the DNC picked to run against him. It’s like they’re all trying to field the most idiotic, demented candidates possible.

Well Trump's a wild guy who in a larger systemic sense 'goes off-script' often a direct principle, it was only a matter of creating input that the liberal machine was already known to process as incoherent, creating totally unforeseen and hallucinatory output. If the liberal program is a machine, we can see it has specialized into oblivion to serve only the most ridiculous of narrow purposes. Input which that machine wasn't designed for is, all that's needed to demonstrate total malfunction

I think it's the New York thing. New Yorkers are fucking obnoxious and terrible to be around unless you get it. There are some places that just shouldn't have their people run to be president because the people from there just rub the entire rest of the country the wrong way. And Trump never did anything to try and smooth over his rough edges. He reminded a lot of weak people of the bullies who bullied them as kids.
I used to have a roommate from NY so I got it.
I also think people were very triggered by the anti-immigration stance (which he doesn't even seem to hold, in actuality, but used it as an issue to win). Way too many Boomers programmed since 1945 to think diversity is our strength, any form of nationalism is evil, and all that other immigration bullshit. When he came out and said illegal immigrants from Mexico included people who are rapists, that was it. Nothing would ever make them think he wasn't Hitler. And Republicans always get called Hitler.
The media/intelligence agencies (same thing) were also really freaked out by the fact that Trump talked about wanting to clean up the corruption in D.C., and he was rallying regular people who don't normally get involved in politics. It was a repeat of the Tea Party, which they successfully neutralized, and the Occupy Wall Street which they successfully neutralized. But here was a man who actually was a billionaire, heavily involved for many years on the inside of the establishment. That was a threat. And they took it very seriously and put out their weapons-grade propaganda and other psyops. Some of them actually started to believe their own bullshit. Others were just cynically playing along. But that did break a lot of people. Of course, like the immigration bullshit, Trump wasn't actually serious about draining the swamp either.

They're all reading the same idiotic New York Times articles and Washington Post articles. They are in such a bubble of retarded media, which is made up entirely of retarded trust fund babies from the same three colleges. They are so wildly out-of-touch and they think they have enough power to control all the little people they don't know and don't want to know. They don't even know what new media is, and their brains are incapable of finding and interpreting information outside of the establishment media. They legitimately thought Hillary, Biden, and Kamala were good candidates. In their world, it made perfect sense. And they don't understand why they lost and never will.

Of course. Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts was the big one. It's a small island, super wealthy, Obama even has a house there where his personal chef mysteriously died and some other really weird stuff. I think the governor declared an emergency.
NYC just put everyone up in luxury hotels, gave them money and phones and stuff, but the mayor did eventually start complaining a bit about the costs.
>>
>>220901324
>They legitimately thought Hillary, Biden, and Kamala were good candidates
Hillary was legitimately a good candidate. She'd have won against anyone other than Trump. The problem was that the DNC and RNC were both treating it like a game. RNC knew neither Jeb or Ted would actually win 2016 and were trying to position themselves for a 2020 contender, and DNC saw themselves as only needing to mollify the socialists in their party enough to secure Hillary for the primary. As far as either of them were concerned the election was over before it even began.
Unfortunately, RNC wasn't prepared for a candidate that actually wanted to win, and the DNC didn't do enough to placate their socialists. So both of them lost to the only candidate that actually tried.

What was good about her, that isn't a NYT/WaPo talking point? She was absolutely hated. All her policies were hated even within her own party at the grassroots. She had to be dragged through the primaries with a bunch of media shenanigans and a fucked up convention system. The establishment in D.C. loved her, nobody was eager to vote for her.

I’m not saying she couldn’t be an effective president, but she was a terrible candidate. She’s a charisma vacuum. She radiates an aura of “I would eat babies if it meant getting to rule over you peons.”
My grandmother, the sweetest person I’ve ever know, who never had a bad thing to say about anyone, called Hillary Lady Macbeth.
>>
>>220897836
Trump's one draw, the one draw of most of these fake right wing populists in the west, is being anti-immigration.
People in the west are utterly starving for any political figure who will come along and stop their minoritization. Multiculturalism is incredibly unpopular wherever it is implemented.

I think a lot of leftoids freak out when an anti-immigration figure, even if he's just branding himself like that and has no intention of doing anything, rises. First of all, they think reality is like a netflix tv series where nationalism is this minority, marginalized position that most people find objectionable. They're forced to confront the fact that despite all their power, all their slopaganda, all the speech oppression and 'educational' programs in schools, people still reject multiculturalism - they can't win the people. It breaks their minds because they think of themselves as representing the will of the general population when in reality, they're a small, oppressive, hated minority that people only pay lip service to because they're intimidated into it.
>>
>>220902718
>nobody was eager to vote for her.
Anon, I am genuinely confused. You realize she won the popular vote and even without DNC meddling with the primaries, she was still more popular than Bernie. I genuinely have no clue who you think would have gotten more votes than her that election. From either side. I really don't.
>>
>>220902873

>>
>>220902873

I've seen the other DNC candidates. Kamala and Biden were charisma vacuums. Bernie had great charisma, but his goal wasn't ever to win, he just wanted to put pressure on the DNC.

A lack of good Democrat candidates doesn't make her a good candidate. If you want to say she was the best of those who ran in 2016, fine.
Her favorables were in the toilet. But because the Democrat primaries are rigged, nobody wanted to run against her. It was "her turn" and any better candidates didn't want to make an enemy of her.
The only reason she did as well as she did against Trump was because the media spent two years convincing all the Democrats that he was literal Hitler. I actually remember on election night somebody telling me with a straight face that he was going to round up all the non-whites into death camps. He really believed that. He was scared. But he didn't vote for Hillary because he liked her or her policies. He thought Hillary was terrible.

It was over saturation. Liberals/ Democrats won the film/television culture war and pushed everyone else out and made themselves the assholes. Okay then I will say that.
Don't get me wrong, I think your anecdotes are cute and all, but your standard for a "good candidate" is Obama, and even he was blown out by Biden who ran his entire campaign on nothing but "Trump is Hitler!".
So I think you should heavily reconsider what your candidates are for being a "good candidate" are when for some reason everyone for the past 30 years except Le Magic Black Man has sucked

No, I'm fully aware people are "voting for the lesser of two evils".
I'm just telling you that if you're going to stick to relativistic standards with phrases like that, then it's fucking dumb to say that the candidate who objectively performed better than any other in the election was "bad", and then stammer like a dolt for three straight posts after being asked to name someone "better".
Also, fuck democracy, if you really want to make a difference then just don't vote. That's the only thing that really scares politicians.

Trump is currently very unpopular. I think everyone is going to become very, very apathetic and stop voting in the US. Though, every 4 years, there's a new crop of bamboozled rubes who are now old enough to vote.

I envy the US system. In Australia, voting is compulsory. We're forced to participate in this open sham where they literally outlaw political parties and send the federal police after them if they get too much support but reject the multiculti agenda.

It's a small fine for not voting but if you 're-offend', it increases and increases. There's something I find incredibly humiliating about it.

I was thinking about this the other day. In other countries (Canada, UK, etc) the incumbent steps down near the end of his term if he knows he won't be running again so his successor has a shot at governing for the remainder of the term.
You Americans never do that. Nixon was the only one to ever resign and that was far from voluntary.
Is this an American thing? Quitting is frowned on? Or is there some other reason?

Trump was the reason she got votes in the first place.
Hillary was a terrible candidate: she'd been hated for years by left wing Democrats, she'd been hated for years by every kind of Republican and she was generally anti-charismatic so independents didn't like her either.
She only appealed to the right wing of the Democrat party and her personal friends in the DNC.

Not only is the claim "she'd have won against literally any republican nominee... uhh just not Trump!" actually just a revisionist fantasy, it's also plausible she wouldn't have been able to win against another Democrat nominee: which is why the DNC resolutely refused to let any other dem run against her.

You've got it backwards. Trump is the only reason Bernie got support
I said it before and I'll say it again, Bernie had no intention of winning. His platform only existed to push the DNC towards more socialist policies and the biggest reason people rallied as strongly with him as they did is because Dems firmly believed that it didn't even matter who the RNC put forward.
At no point were the Dems afraid of Trump. Not until he got elected
What you actually should have said and what you really mean, is that Trump is the only reason Biden got why votes.

Trump was getting all of the standard 'all Republicans are le Hitler' stuff coming from the left, but he also got a boost from 'anyone outside the establishment is le Hitler' angle from the centrists or neutrals.

He works fine right now as a 'lightning rod' for all of the 'is American becoming le fascist' concerns. Leftists and centrists who seemed to understand that the deep state was a real problem in 2015 flipped hard, and today they simultaneously profess that the deep state doesn't exist at all AND that Trump is in empowering the bad deep state. Actual reforms might have gained traction under a Clinton POTUS or a 'normal' (R) POTUS, that wasn't ever likely under a Trump or Biden administration.

Having senioritis at the end of your final term, knowing that the CIA is no longer bothering to use you as a puppet and is busy just making their plans for the next asshole, is the best part of being president. It's when you see them actually happy again, knowing that they can get all the respect and glowing media interviews and give some kind of farewell address. They party it up, spend time in meetings about their presidential library, maybe go on a few last trips overseas. If they quit a few months early, then all the blackmail hanging over their head for 8 years was for nothing, and they'll become some historical anecdote about being a tired loser at the end.
